The non-sacred tree scene is a reference to Inuyasha, which is basically the same scene 1:1 (Inuyasha gets shot and impaled on a sacred tree by his lover) recreated in Sonichu. There's even a cloud overlooking the non-sacred tree that looks like Inuyasha.

i believe the levitation trick line (as well as the rabbit in a hat hieroglyphs) are a reference to the irl Wes being a party magician

Basically the issue where Chris realizes "Why make the comic about Sonicchu when it can be about ME!" Because God forbid someone else have the spotlight other than you Chris Chan. Seriously, him turning into Sonicchu and just being Sonic with PIkachu elements destroys any point for Sonicchus own existance. I also love when Chris chan either tries to cheer people up or try to act "strong" and tell people to buck up, all while the single minor inconvenience on his part is enough to crash him, or that he will avoid a small inconvenience even though it will obvious cause him a major one later.
