No doubt C2O! If you wanna get nerdy about it, rapping is rhythmic similar to drums. So drums compliment our rapping, so it makes since that you feel that way lol Thanks for watching and commenting! Much respect! ✌😎 - Cole Mize

Then u post a video!...and I have a track that strips for a few bars..and I said i'mma have to sing on that part...now I know a new approach. Thx teacher!

Latasha Dennis Hey sis! I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed my latest video :) lol! I feel you on the 16th count, the trick to it is to say words that are easy for you to say. Thanks for the feedback and I will keep them coming! Keep up the great work on your end as well and the pleasure is all mine!

Got it! I figured that out! Plus I also understand that when rapping it's not so much about the notes but being the drums. Love listening to you! Keep up the good work!

hey man just wanted to ask...cud you do a video on how to make a hook (chorus: As o have no clue) and what a bridge is? ...cos im not 100% on what a bridge is...
@ColeMizeStudios10 жыл бұрын
itaiookami good question. Hang in there because I am now making videos on the topic of lyrics and writing so I will also be covering song structure. A bridge is usually in between the verse and the hook. It doesn't have to be a specific length and is used to help transition between the verse and hook which is why it's called a bridge. "it help connects the two" Hope that makes sense. But hang tight man cause I will be covering all of this really soon in my videos and if you have anymore questions feel free to ask! Thanks!

Hi Cole sorry for asking you, but I still do not understand how do you count the beat. I understand the instrumentals cos 'Dun dun dun dun dun dun' then repeats but how did you find the start? I realized you put your start at the lowest base sound. Sorry for asking this question, hope you can clarify it.
@ColeMizeStudios9 жыл бұрын
+XterioR The easiest way to find the beginning is to 1 listen for where the kick drum begins for the first time in the music as typically the kick drum starts at the beginning of the bar. Also pay attention to how the music starts in the beginning. Typically the music will be looping the same parts through sections of the songs. Identify what the music if doing when it first comes in and you will identify the beginning of the bar. Also my video on song structure buff.ly/1MstgE5 may help you as well as I count out the bars for a whole instrumental. Let me know if this helps. :) - Cole Mize
@PokeTwilight9 жыл бұрын
ColeMizeStudios Ok, I will check it out soon, I'm still at the Cadence to Lyrics video. Thank you for that explanation, it has given me a better idea of finding the start and end o the instrumental. Also, I have another question. I came back to watching this video yesterday because I thought I could understand. But I just want to clarify, the 6 baselines for the instrumental. What do you mean by the 4 beats swinging? Sorry for asking the question.
@PokeTwilight9 жыл бұрын
ColeMizeStudios Also, when you figured out that the instrumental is 2 bars, does it mean that half of the 6 base lines(The instrumental) is equivalent to one bar?(Meaning did you count 4 beats within the 3 baseline?)
@ColeMizeStudios9 жыл бұрын
+XterioR I meant that all the notes on the baseline aren't changing directly on top of the 4 beats of the bar, and I was pointing out how the 1st note and the 3 note was hitting directly on beat on the 1st and 3rd beat of the bar, the same place kicks typically hit at. The others parts that aren't hitting directly on beat have swing to them which means I put them slightly out of time to give them more character. For more explination of swing watch this video I did on adding character to cadence buff.ly/1Jkj6e7 I hope this helps you out! :) - Cole Mize
