I love it that Cole and Cooper explain all the technical aspects, advantages and improvements they make to your horticultural endeavours. Keep up the good work! Daddy Canstar is a blast, I love his jokes. I realise I’m watching this harvesting episode whilst it being May 2020, you will all be full on sowing! I’m also glad that Cooper works around his studies as they are very important to remain relevant in this vastly changing world, including Agriculture. I’m writing from the Darling Downs Queensland Australia which is the largest grain growing district in Queensland. I’ve a lot of relatives involved in Primary Production, so I’ve a deep interest in Primary Production. I find it very exciting of you and your family on the cutting edge of innovation, not just for innovations sake, but how it has helped improve and streamline your operation. I love the outlook on diversification of having other incomes other than on farm. I take my hat off to Momma Cornstar bringing in off farm income, as Daddy Cornstar said very appreciatively sometimes it was what kept us afloat. I think these women who work as farmers and bring in off farm income are to be applauded, as they are split in so many direction. Guys is it possible you can change your catering of your lunch menu of pizza to something else, so Momma Cornstar and us viewers do not have to worr

Always nice to see how the farming community helps each other. Hope that never changes. Cole I hope u can ignore the negativity and unnecessary comments. U speed up or slow down or whatever u want to do with ur voice. I think u will find the majority of us love the variety. The randomness is one of the main attractions of this channel. ****MCS...... lawn ornaments cut down on the mowing chores but u might need to paint that one and make it a little less dreary. You have a good attitude when it comes to farming. If there's too much frost in the corn, too much moisture in the beans, the combine breaks down or gets stuck, it's not: "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" "OMG, what are we going to do!?" or "We'll be ruined!" With you it's... "Don't sweat it it's all part of the script."

Frost???? No No No, I’m not ready for winter!!!! Truthfully, we can feel the change starting unfortunately. We have had such a mild summer and are well over our average of rain for dry West Texas. Scheduled to be the best cotton crop in 10 years IF we don’t get a freezing rain before the cotton gets harvested. With the bolls open the rain freezes on the exposed cotton and the weight causes it to separate from the bolls and fall to the ground. I love it every year after the plants are exfoliated and those huge cotton plants look like a field of thick white snow. Being flat here you can literally see for miles. It’s beautiful! Glad to see your Dad back. He looks like he lost weight.

As per the bounce. Check air pressure in tires. Make sure they are at specific rating. If absolutely necessary, remove some, but make certain both sides are the same. A difference of more than 2 PSI can make some horrible bounce. Also, can we recommend putting some gravel down around the yard and up to the dryer set up? Start with 3 gravel truck loads, and every couple years add a couple more. It will improve your driveway and yard.
@ColeTheCornstar5 жыл бұрын
Superman 68 we are in the process of making our bin site permanent so Gravel will be added after. As for the bounce, they're all inflated properly on the front. One wheel on the back has fluid and the other doesn't so I think that's the issue.

It's amazing to watch you all harvest this time of year, which is probably normal for you there. In Eastern Washington, harvest usually started last week of July or first week of August. So it would be all getting done during the hottest part of the year. It would get rather hot until about end of 2nd week to 3rd week of August. Then we would get a short cold spell and sometimes rain. Otherwise, it was hot. Kids 14 years old could get a farm permit so they could work for dad or another farmer to drive truck on local roads to the grain elevator. If harvest happened to run into school time, which was rare as school began in September and harvest normally would be finished by then, a kid could get a pass to miss school and work until harvest was done. I think the pass couldn't go more than a couple weeks, though. By the way, any chance you've ever run a rock up into the combine? That's one thing you don't want to do. Really messes with the concave and cylinder if it gets that far. The only danger of that in wheat/barley is trying to pick up lodged stalks that have fallen on the ground. You have to run the sickle right on the ground to pick it up.
