I'll never forget the year 1983. Australia wins the America's cup and it was at the same time this song was HUGE. The team adopted it as their theme song. What a year!

Far Out hearing that. When I first heard it, it immediately took my mind's visions to Australia and the Mystery and Beauty of the Land and people down there. I could see the Aborigine tribes, flying Boomerangs, leaping Kangaroos, and Outback people. It was the feeling that the music evoked in me.

'83 what a blast - Australia wins the America Cup to the sound of Men at Work. I don't want to sound like an old man but the music, the vibe, life seemed alot more free, a lot less judgemental and a lot more carefree. Take us back to those days with this classic by Colin - the funniest man I've ever heard in a pub behind a microphone

People used to care about principles based in "personal sovereignty", meaning their ability to live life by the rules without the centralized control of government interfering in everyday individual's lives. Now a days it's a global hivemind principle called "world goodwill", it's occult in it's nature and bad for the outlook of independents and individuals. At least, I think that's what has changed, I'd be happy if someone could tell me differently. Take care!

I was a teen in the 80s. I, and other friends from that era, also feel that society was much less judgmental and free. We were free to speak our minds without fear of being cancelled or shouted down. I remember being carefree, playing outside 'til after dark, and watching actual music videos on MTV. Loved the 80s, still do. I'm honestly grieving what we lost.

I remember doing Karaoke with my friend Donard to this song he bailed half way through and some Asian guy I never met named Sunny took over and we crushed the high notes. By the end the entire bar were on the seats shouting “One More Song”. I hope Sunny is doing good wherever he is 😢

Great Presentation Colin. In the opening I was a bit apprehensive the way the verse had been slowed down but had a feeling the cool beat would kick in on the second verse.
