I am so proud of this young man, it’s always the young ones who bring change. I stopped watching football and any other sports because he had very little support, there are so many who have a platform to support him and his fight.

I was a friend of Cornel & his brother Clifton at John F. Kennedy high school in Sacramento back in the day & can say they were both great guys. As a native born Nevadan from Reno, I will always consider Colin Kaepernick a Reno guy & will always support his right to freedom of opinion, expression, & free speech. It is no accident that University of Nevada football player Marion Motley was one of the first two African-Americans to play professional football in the modern era, breaking the color barrier along with teammate Bill Willis in September 1946.
