I haven't tried this myself, but I have heard/read somewhere that a good method of getting an A-List celebrity to appear in a shorther even a full length feature film, is to find actors/actresses who haven't been in a film for a while. Such celebrities are keen to be seen on the screen, and if the project is something that they feel will further their career, they will be most likely to be interested in working with a good project. An actor/actress who is seen in any good role, will boost their chances of being cast in a future Hollywood film. It helps for a producer and/or director to have a portfolio of short films, that the celebrities may be interested in seeing, to get an idea of your works and the quality of the other talent you hire for your projects, and the effectiveness of your production values, look of your films, the sound engineering and directing skills.

Just watched your short film - loved it and hope for a sequel..... and kudos for enticing an ‘A’ list actor into a cameo at the end.

Seriously, this was the one thing I kept wondering about. Great explanation. (And yes, I was figuring that you were "connected." Thanks for clearing this up.)

You seem like a genuine person, I can really appreciate your style and honesty. I also loved your movie, no need for the imposter syndrome, you are very very talented. Maybe you could send one of those personal videos to Netflix. I mean, you already have Jude Law on board right :p Lets make this a series! 10/10 would watch
@havenstatguys4 жыл бұрын
Congrats. I was shocked to see Law in the cameo and then saw your short on how you got him. We look for sports figures to do brief 8 second audio leads and we ask lots of people. We get ignored a lot and told no a lot but we have some pretty good voice overs so never say never. Well done (loved your short as well).

It was great to see Jude Law Thank u so much. The glowing thing u added in his eyes just instantly took me to his roles in A.I & Gataca. Fine performance from the rest of the actors as well.

Well from what i can tell is he used a lot of special effects and had a small team working on it. Remember some small game devs take that long sometimes to make a game. Visual effects with a small team take fucking forever to do

Never seen your videos before nor have I heard from you, but just watching this makes me so DAMN happy for you! As an artist myself I can see how terrifying it is to make these leaps of faith, especially after putting a lot of work into a project. I wonder whether Jude Law was immediately your first choice, or whether there was a lot of trial and error regarding finding that A-list celeb. Regardless, I'm sure your efforts will bring you a crap-ton of success, which you deserve every bit of.

@@jan861 He should have said it more elegently than that but he is right, to make a film you need to have many connections and know a lot of people. So not to put you down, i would suggest that you pursue another medium of expression in which only talent is required like painting or writing for instance.
