This particular video was so exciting to me because I hadn’t seriously thought about making scans or copies of my favorite gelli print papers to use as printouts. Robyn has gone even one better by making beautiful collages out of papers, making those into printables, and then re-using part of that same image in another collage. Her scripting is always so beautiful, and it was great to see how powerful it looks in white too. The ideas are just bubbling up now!

Terrific prompt!! I love what you had to say about colors, and how it is all about how you use a color.

I was a decorative painter in peoples homes for 30 years.. I had to use colors I disliked rather frequently because the homeowner or designer chose them and my task was to make them work... over time, I embraced all colors and that created freedom...so this is an excellent exercise for any artist who wants to be free to explore and expand.. 👏👏👏thanks for your generosity 💕

You did it again. This is so not my color palette, but I think your spread is brilliant. This 365 journal project has set me free. I have intermittently journaled, including written, dated entries, in a very linear (and stifling) process. Each spread would take me so long to get it down and get it right, and I had to finish one before going on to the next. Your approach, that you can go on to another without finishing the first and go back and forth between spreads is truly a revelation. You have changed my entire view of how to make art.

Love the page on the left with the oval and the spruce color and WHITE SCRIPTING. The white makes it pop! Wonderful lesson, Robyn!

Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge. Found your channel a month ago and attempting to watch a couple videos each evening. Have started your Infinite Pool course. Today I picked up some 25% cotton papers from our local Staples in Manitoba and was surprised they carry a 36 page Hilroy brand onion skin pad for less than $8 Cdn. I checked it against my 2 different tracing papers and it is different. If someone is near a Staples store that carries it, they could check it out.

Fabulous pages Robyn. I am glad you worked with your usual palette though, lol. I do have colours I dont like to work with, like red and purple. Im glad I dont have to force myself to put those straight into my journal this week, lol.

Thank you Robyn love the paint on the background. As I sit here looking at 2 pink pages I glued into my journal last night! You guessed it I am not a fan of pink! I click on your video and here it is forbidden colors hahaha!!! I will work with the pink but I have to turn the page now I will come back to it!! Thanks again.

So Robyn I’m watching all your 52 week challenge so far and it has taken me a bit to get going and fully committee to getting with you and the group but I’m doing it !! So my journals you are using and I have ordered 2 and will be here March 9th, because I’m in 🇨🇦and was late deciding to start . So I’m making gel prints and getting other supplies ready to play along so when I get my books I’m ready to go. Thanks for all your inspiring work and getting us all working together on our 52 week journey of discovery of our art from within … love it

Thank you! I took a look at my inks and paints and realized there was not a green in the lot. I just ordered a few bottles of different green paints. New things on the horizon. :)

i guess i don't understand. maybe i missed something; i didn't see where you used any 'forbidden' color except for that last page where there was a teeny bit left on the torn edge. Was white, gray, tan, or black one of the forbidden colors on this layout?

FYI: It took Picasso 20 years to develop cubism. Later he also was the FIRST to use collage as works of art during his period of Synthetic cubism: 1912-1919.

I am not a fan of pastel shades in general, not just pink -- I actually love many shades of pink! But there are shades of pastel blue that make me nauseous. No idea why.
