Lascaux and Altamira cave drawings, for me, are the most authentic and unpretentious art works in ancient history. Your color palette is very reminiscent of these paintings, earthy and beautiful. Although, I haven’t worked in my journal every week, I have watched your videos every week, a wealth of knowledge and inspiration. Thank you for your time, you are not only an inspiration, but a lovely human being.

Oooh this is just gorgeous....... thank you so much for sharing your fun experimenting with us! I just love the holes. Can't wait to get the Cropadile out and try this. I would keep all the little punched out bits. I make acrylic polymer skins (with or without a tissue paper base) and sprinkle all sorts of scrap bits on. Stuck down on pages they go transparent. You never need to throw ANYTHING away lol! I love the licorice ink that goes so purple. My colour palette very much resembles yours at the moment because I am filling a book my hubby bought for me with palm leaves and bark and corn husk on the cover - I call it my Organic Journal and I'm limiting the colour palette to browns, black, cream and gold with a bit of rust colour. I definitely want to experiment with making holes in some of the pages so you can see through to the underlying pages. So much fun awaits me. Why are there so few hours in the day?

Great video as always. You move through your evolving pieces with such ease. There is a magic to your work. Sometimes I watch and think “This is never going to work”. Hah! You pull it off everytime. Thanks for the visual shockwaves.

I just have to tell you this is the first time I've seen any of your videos & I'm only about 15 minutes into watching you making these papers but this is so interesting & inspiring to watched I'm just stunned! Amazing & so creative. Awesome. Thanks for sharing. I've always wondered how to do this. You could copy off your papers & sell them. You can get so sidetracked creating these. It just takes you where it wants to go. Holy moly!

We are so in sync lol. Everytime I watch your videos and you're deciding where to put a piece, I point to the spot and say "put it here, put it here" and you'll say, "I think I'll put it here." 🤣 It's as if you can hear me. In this video, as you were punching the first lot of holes, it was off camera. Literally, as soon as I said "can you put it in front of the camera please?" You instantly did it. I'm still laughing! You're so obedient Robyn. 😁🤗💞

Thanks for this systematic approach to reflecting on art. It's helpful. Today I realized that I don't enjoy working with color because I don't like my colors. I prefer blacks, grays, and muted tones. All my colors are simply too bright for my taste. Thanks again for helping me figure that out!
