Miss Tammy that looks good, but my grandmother in my aunt called that a Sock it to me.cake and I make it In a bunt pan but the only thing is I don't layer it I used to but I shake a lot so I just mix it all together and sometimes I Put a little.coconut to it. You don't have to but I do, And for the icing, I just don't like you do or I'll put on the sour cream in it. Or I'll put some cream cheese in it. And that's good too, but you make it the way that you may get. And your mama called it a honeymoon cake so, but if you look on the side of the cake box, it says psychiatric mccake and the recipe is exactly the same kind. But Looks good looking, I'm gonna make it the way that you did and see how it turns out. but it looks good so good and moist.❤❤❤ Love you missed him. And thank you, Mr. Chris, the camera man.

The difference is this cake has 1 cup of butter and the sock it to me just has a little oil. This cake is super rich and sweet. The recipes are similar though

Hi Tammy! This cake brings back memories when I was a kid. Mom would buy those honey bun pastries for 10 for ,$10! She'd put them in the freezer. I'd get in that big old freezer and sneak them and eat them frozen?!😂🤣. This cake looks divine! Could I use a white cake mix? God bless you!

Eat it frozen 😂 you're funny. I remember spending time at my Aunt's. We didn't have a lot with my Family of 10 ( 8 kids). But I'd go into my Aunts ice box and eat baby aspirin as if it were candy. My children and generations after, will never understand. Sad for them.

I’m from Hawaii so I’ve never tasted a honey bun cake. As I was watching you, I was so curious about what went into the cake. Butter yum, sour cream yum, cinnamon and brown sugar? I made this cake today. The only substitution I did was nuts. I didn't have any. Made it exactly as instructed with apples instead. Wow. It is so delicious. I love it. I would probably love it with nuts too.

Looks yummy. I used to make a sour cream pound cake in a bundt pan. Diligently alternating dry ingredients/egg/dry/egg/repeat, into the creamed butter. I can't believe I never thought to try a simpler sheet cake version like this using a cake mix.

Although a yellow cake is my least favorite it’s got enough butter in it to stand up to that flavor. The yellow cake mix is overpowering but it’s used to make other delicious desserts. I think they started out at 18 oz. In 10 more years, it's going to go down to 12 oz. but yet how's a cake going to taste when all the other ingredients you put into it remain the same. That's what I wonder.
