Been making this cake for years.I put the whole cake mix in the bottom then swirl the pecan brown sugar mixture thru out the cake with a knife you get more of the melted brown sugar in between each piece

I have found some of the best recipes in old church cookbooks. And of course, anything with 2 sticks of butter in it is going to be deeeelicious, as Tammy would say. Gotta make this, for sure.

I use yellow cake mix! And two cups of confectioners sugar! I absolutely love this cake!!😊 And have that icing made for soon it's done to pour while the cake is hot; it crackles & set instantly!

Tammy, we have this every Christmas at my niece’ s house, we do a brunch, and this is gobbled up so fast! It’s excellent! Another good one for a Christmas brunch is curried fruit, sounds weird but is delicious, y’all be sure to google the recipe. I will say it again like I have before, the visuals of seeing things is priceless. Example, I thought the batter would be thinner, it wasnt. I thought the pecan mix would be less powdery, it was really powdery. Then watching the cake cook with the brown edges and the center still kinda jiggly but set. Because of a disabled parent, I learned to cook at a very early age. Candidly, it wasn't always a happy task for me, as a child. Seeing you cook makes me happy because it is reigniting that passion and taking away the toil memories. So, thank you

When you spread wet over dry, you always lead with a wet edge; same as when you are frosting a cake. otherwise it tears or mixes the wet & dry together. Looks delish!

I think I would double the amount of glaze. It looks terrific. I think this would be great for Christmas breakfast. Yummy yum yum yum. I’m making it tomorrow. Phyllis Stokes has a recipe for a small cake under “something sweet” in her playlist. I love it and it’s baked in an 8 inch square or round pan if you want something smaller and without cinnamon.

Been making this for years and never saved a half cup of dry cake mix to mix with the cinnamon sugar filling but I will try that next time. Take a butter knife and swirl circles to make individual hunny buns . Delicious 😋
