Tammy, your channel is important to me for much more than your cooking. This may sound unusual to you, but with the world going crazy all around and society running headlong toward a massive brick wall, your cooking channel is a place that is safe, wholesome, nurturing, and familiar. I don't have to figure out how to fit with it. It brings back memories of when sanity was all around me and, though I was fully aware of the obstacles of my journey into the future, those obstacles were reasonable and expected, and even the unexpected ones were understandable. I can no longer say any of that. I certainly don't feel it. So thanks, Tammy, for the little fragments of sanity and wholesome goodness you create for all of us. Please stay safe and find as much joy as you possibly can. You truly are one of the people who make this a better world simply by you being in it.

@adamchurvis1 Жыл бұрын
@@garyb6219 Absolutely. I've been studying food science and world cuisines for thirty years now, and I'm into a lot of advanced techniques, but I come back to Tammy to get rooted again. Tammy is the last link I have to my grandmother in Nashville cooking all day for me when she knew I'd be coming in for a visit from Chicago. Grandma's house was the first time I ever saw scratch biscuits being made. She used a little pull-out slat from above the drawer left of the sink, and she'd make a batch of dough in about three minutes. It was like watching Neo in the end of The Matrix where he fights off Agent Smith without even looking ("He sees!"). Fresh beans and tomatoes from her garden, pot roast, mashed potatoes that tasted like -- wait for it! -- potatoes, and cake from HER grandmother's recipe. I was five years old the first time. Talk about setting the bar high. Fortunately for all of us, Tammy clears it. Every single time.

Tammie, your dinner looks so good! My daughter Christal Smith needs your prayers. They had to do exploratory surgery Monday she is very sick. They said her kidneys were trying to shut down. The other thing they found a large cancer mass on the back side of her lungs. Christal is 49 and still has much more to do in this life. The Bible tells us to pray for one another and I'm asking for everyone's prayers. God Bless you and your family.

That’s a nice idea, Thanksgiving dinner for graduating from Vet school, she must have loved that! I love cats and dogs too and it’s so important to get a good vet for our little fur babies! I have 4 young cats and my sons have 2 LARGE dogs and we treat them like they are our children! I’m sure you’re very proud of her, she went thru a lot to get there!! CONCATULATIONS to your daughter!!👩🏼🎓

I made this for lunch, it was a hit. My family wants me to make this for Thanksgiving. They usually are not a big fan of turkey, but they loved this. I used 2 cans of green beans. I forgot to get canned potatoes, so I sliced some fresh potatoes, and they were delicious. I picked up some yeast rolls from the grocery store and made corn on the cob and a pumpkin pie. It was plenty enough for 4 people. I chopped the celery and onions and sliced the potatoes and put them in the frig before I went to bed last night. I got up a little before 5 am and had the crock pot cooking by 5. It was done right at noon. We had Thanksgiving in June. Thank you for our new Thanksgiving recipe.

I made this as a test run for Thanksgiving. I did not cut up the turkey myself. I bought turkey breast already cut up from Walmart and i used 1 1/2 cups of Swanson chicken broth instead of her drop in water broth. I cooked it on high, in a 6 qt crockpot , for 8 hours. My family loved it so i plan to make again for Thanksgiving. There are three in my family so this was perfect for us. Thanks Tammy, i like your recipes.

I happened upon this accidentally...and it's fantastic. I've made this for the first time last year and it was so easy and delicious. This year I did use the Crock-Pot dividers and separated the cornbread stuffing and turkey in one divider and the turkey stuffing, greens and potatoes in the other. Leftovers are easy to just keep in the crock and pop in the fridge. And clean up is effortless. Thank you for the brilliant idea...

Looks yummy. Was wondering if you had ever considered cutting half gallon or quart milk jugs in half just below the handle, then cut the bottoms out and put the in the side of the crock pot where you put your veggies. It would create two wells after you placed the ingredients in. Then you could place your vegetables in the wells. After placing the vegetables in the well, you could lift out the milk containers. You wouldn’t get your hands as messy and the milk containers could be washed off and stored for latter use.
