Whats up Rad Family. In today's video we briefly discuss the idea that society is collapsing often stems from a perception of deep and widespread problems that challenge the foundations of social, economic, and political systems. While this perspective can be influenced by many factors, here are some reasons people may feel society is on the brink of collapse:
1. Economic Instability:
Inflation and Rising Costs: High inflation, increasing housing prices, and stagnant wages can strain the middle and lower classes, leading to social unrest.
Wealth Inequality: A growing wealth gap, where the rich become richer and the poor face worsening conditions, can create deep societal divisions and a sense of unfairness.
Debt and Financial Crises: National debts, banking collapses, or unsustainable financial systems can lead to economic collapse, job losses, and loss of public confidence.
2. Political Dysfunction:
Polarization: Many societies are experiencing extreme political polarization, where cooperation between parties or groups becomes nearly impossible. This can lead to government gridlock and erode trust in democratic institutions.
Authoritarianism: In some countries, the rise of authoritarian leaders threatens the principles of democracy and civil liberties.
Corruption: Corruption within political systems can foster a sense of hopelessness and distrust among the public, leading to apathy or rebellion.
3. Social Fragmentation:
Cultural and Identity Conflicts: Increasing divisions over race, religion, identity, and values can create social tension. When these conflicts are not addressed, they can lead to protests, violence, or even civil wars.
Breakdown of Community: Modern lifestyles, urbanization, and digital living have, in some cases, eroded traditional community bonds, making people feel more isolated and disconnected from one another.
4. Technological Disruption:
Job Losses from Automation: The rise of AI and automation threatens to displace millions of jobs, creating economic instability and widening the gap between those who can adapt and those who cannot.
Surveillance and Privacy Concerns: Increasing use of surveillance technologies by governments and corporations can lead to a loss of privacy and civil rights, making citizens feel disempowered.
5. Health Crises:
Mental Health Epidemic: Growing rates of mental health issues like anxiety, depression, and addiction, exacerbated by societal pressures, can further weaken the social fabric.
6. Loss of Trust in Institutions:
Media Manipulation and Disinformation: The rise of disinformation, fake news, and biased media can create confusion and skepticism, leading to a breakdown in trust in mainstream sources of information.
Failed Justice Systems: When justice systems fail to hold people accountable, especially the wealthy or powerful, it can create a sense of lawlessness and diminish faith in the rule of law.
These factors together can create a sense that society as we know it is unraveling. However, it is important to recognize that while these issues are serious, societies have historically faced and overcome various challenges. Resilience, adaptation, and reform are possible even in the face of such complex problems.

The whole Co¥id one 9 episode will go down in history as one of the greatest destroyers of our great American Society. It ruined families, caused great divisions, ended friendships. People are so rude, anxious, depressed, paranoid. You can tell by the way people behave in public, drive angry on streets and highways WOW !! Things have changed dramatically. Thanks RG for bringing this to people’s attention so that we can be the change, we can start to heal and rebuild an even greater society.

100% what Jack Osborne described is 2024! Great video, Graham. Love the "wink, wink" part . . . as a fellow Texan I totally get it. This is exactly why the election is so important this year. I know we try not to get political on our channels but when you look around and discuss "life" like we do - you can't help but have it creep into the conversation because it's impacting every - damn - thing! If we don't talk about it, how will we ever fix the problem? And yes - it will take more than just one four year Presidential term to fix what started way back in the '70s. Regarding barbarians . . . the late Charles Krauthammer wrote: "Politics is the moat, the walls, beyond which lie the barbarians. Fail to keep them at bay, and everything burns."

These arent four reasons for the downfall of empires, it's the signs. F*ck, was it "Four horsmen" from renegade economist that mentioned this?? Or was it in the "Zeitgeist" triology. But it's true. And now I will keep on watching. :) Subscribed by the way. ;)

Just one more thing before I shut up. About the collapse. I am SO happy I don't live in a city. I have a few acres of land, I grow my own potatoes. I have chickens and a rooster. I have four rifles and a 12G and ammo to last me a lifetime. about 80 pounds of rice, a LOT of salt. Candles and flash ligths and rechargable batteries and a solar charger for them. A bunch of fire wood, dry. And a lot more standing. But the most important of all. My few neighbours (I live very rural in Norway) have other things. One have sheep, another one is in the "militia" (so am I sort of), another one grow herbs and I have two brothers a hundred yards away that are both doctors. What I think would happen is that the cities would collapse. But out here we would cøme together in small societies.

@TomKirkemo-l5c I agree. Neighbors helping Neighbors while the cities decline fast. That's awesome to know a little more about Norway! Thanks for sharing 👍
