To Tim and the whole WatchBox team: Thank you so much for having us on! We had a great time sharing our watches and stories with this awesome community, and we hope someone else gets inspired to scuff up their watches a bit on a new adventure!

Tim and Kate have an infectious energy in this video. It is fun to hear their combined journey. While the watches are great, I am more inspired to hear about their adventures all over the world. I think very few people get to share similar passions in quite the same way with their spouse.

Love this couples’ episode. I would gather that there are more husband and wife conversations like this one! Adventurous couple! They seem to be “doing life” together in a unique way. Refreshing to see a happy couple that shares their love of watches together. Bravo!

This is one of the best videos on this channel yet. It shows how watches become part of your life and this couple are the best ambassadors of that. They are so positive and happy! Truly special to watch.

I heard Tim once fought a shark with his bare hands… and lost. I also heard he’s banned from the Rolex Celebration dial waitlist for shopping with the competition.

I have a similar story, in central London I was walking around New Bond St the luxury watch area of Mayfair when I saw my Rolex Yachtmaster, with so much dislike for the brand, it was love at first sight for the platinum bazel / dial YM, I pulled the trigger, that’s 2003. It is still on my wrist! I dear not go near a modern day Rolex!

Yo, what's up everyone? It's your favorite commenter here with another video feedback. Today, I'm going to be reviewing out this video by the talented creator. Let me tell you, this video is absolutely amazing. I'm not even kidding. It's so good that I'm actually starting to feel a little empowered. I mean, how can someone be so talented? Seriously, though, this video is a must-watch. It's informative, entertaining, and just plain good. So what are you waiting for? Go check it out right now!

Asking this again; will we EVER see a budget collection featured???? Maybe something sub 10k USD for once...?
@the1916company Жыл бұрын
Yes. I'm speaking to a few collectors who fit this profile and want to appear on camera. You also need to consider that I can't force anyone into the studio. A lot of people with entry level or mid-market watches are self conscious about putting that in front of a critical social media audience. But take a look at my interview with Curtis Arndt. He shared many Marathon, Seiko, and other entry-level watches with very little high-luxury featured. Best, Tim
@kevinc1001 Жыл бұрын
I have a hunch some of these collectors do have less expensive watches but are probably too embarrassed to feature them. Like we will never see an Invicta collector even if their own decent looking models.
@kevinc1001 Жыл бұрын
@@the1916companyThat’s sad to think some care more about what others think what’s on their wrist. At the end of the day it’s your watch and wrist not theirs. If someone feels like wearing a 50mm watch with skulls I say more power to you it’s not my wrist.
@cnaarndt Жыл бұрын
@@the1916company Thanks again Tim. While I have several very nice watches, my overall collection to date is the least expensive of all the WB Collector Conversations. Because of this, I was initially very apprehensive about even going through with the interview. However, the overwhelming response from the viewers was nothing short of amazing. FWIW, I brought an Oris, a Bulova and a Glycine plus my wife's 25-year-old Tudor that we didn't have time to cover in the almost one-hour long talk.

This lady is an anomaly. Don’t be fooled, gents. 99.9% of the time, when she says - “I’d love for us to do this hobby together”, what she means is - “I want to see firsthand where all your money is going.”
@kevinc1001 Жыл бұрын
Would love to see non high end watches like Casio, Citizen, Seiko etc. I know it will probably never happen but these collections are making Us peasants look bad lol. Also why do some of these collectors seem like their bragging? I get it you have money can buy XYZ but do we really need the I got this Rolex at the AD followed by I the bought this Patek at the next one. Not saying they were although there were times I thought were cringy.

Comparison is the thief of joy. They seem like a perfectly nice couple and saw practically no showboating in this one.
@michaelkalb2896 Жыл бұрын
The most important person to be happy on a collection journey besides meeting your personal objectives is having the enthusiasm and excitement shared with your spouse or loved one. And this company is a perfect example of that!
@oneal14attnet Жыл бұрын
She also made it clear that they bought their Yachtmaster “on credit.” Which shows that they simply decided to focus their funds on this hobby. Like most of us they spend on something and watches are it. Everyone gets to make choices on how and where they find joy.
@kevinc1001 Жыл бұрын
@@cdm765 Not saying they were just some collectors in general. Sometimes the way some of these collectors talk or come off can have that oh look at me vibes.

I don't know why you'd interview a couple that by their own admission got into watches 4 years ago. I have socks older then that. Do people pay money to appear on this channel or is it just to boost their own public profile? You guys are all motoring enthusiasts, whose story would you rather hear... Mario Andretti's or Lance Stroll's? I rest my case.
