I collected my 40th Anniversary Edition 996 yesterday. Just brilliant. What a car. My wife and I both love it. Lots of thumbs up from other drivers and riders.

Congratulations, it is so rare to see a car garage that does a proper job. Generally this is our second biggest purchase to our house, often it is such a poor experience. The standard of the car looks fantastic as is your enthusiasm. Enjoy the new car and look forward to see more.

Oh my... From a big fan of your channel from NZ, all my best wishes with this gorgeous example of the 996 model. It could not be in better hands. Last time I wrote, I was still looking for my 996. I'm delighted to tell you I now have a beautiful '99 Carrera 4 in Paladio Metallic (Mirage)... purchased with only 64,000 kilometres on the clock. Your passion for the 996 was a big factor in my choice. I absolutely love my fried egg bastard child of the 911 family, there's no other model I would prefer. All the reasons others denigrate it, I embrace. Love ya work Lee, keep 'em coming.

Lee, I can only echo your comments. I found my 911 via the 9werks marketplace last year; it was at Paragon - they were brilliant. As you pointed out the preparation work that they carry out exceeds that you would expect from a Porsche main dealer.

Congratulations Lee!!! After years of wanting a Porsche 911, it was a friend who convinced to go with the 40 Jahre. (It was his 11th Porsche and he’s had quite the collection along with one that he didn’t want to part with) I haven’t regretted it one bit. Last of the narrowbody, RWD, naturally aspirated, 6-speed, GTS before GTS all in one awesome package. PCCM+ next!

Around here they carry a hefty premium, especially for a 996. You can get a nice 997 for the same $, so you need to be a big fan of 996 to still want one at these prices.

I absolutely love mine. #1033 sitting in my garage right now and I can’t wait until the weekend to take it on a coffee run. Such a special car, one of my favorite details that most reviews miss is the special perforated leather on the steering wheel, shifter, and seats that is different from all other 996s. Enjoy!

The original ‘Carrera II’ wheels were a polished chrome finish on this particular model - personally I prefer the refurb yours has had, much like mine on my old 996. A great car, you are absolutely right to be chuffed to bits - enjoy it!
