Loved your first video up here in cairns, and going to let you know that the land on the other side of that first river you went to is my Grandma and grandads Cattle property. That is one of my favourite places to go fishing as the top of that river is three crystal clear creeks that are full of Massive Jungle Perch.

hi we go to anaconda or big w for our gear and we fish palm cove jetty on any of the beaches but where you going seems cool man there are a lot of gem spots around cairns but watch your dog closely because you will look around and he will be gone in seconds and a lot of places you have to have him on a leash and pick up his poo also the further you go north the bigger the fish

A good fishing spot is palm cove jetty. Get a livie on a hook and hang on!!! P.s leave rocco at home if your going to explore estuaries mate. He will not b around for to much longer if he swims in the wrong estuary.

Next time you go take a coat hanger. Crabs. look at the mangrove roots for a holes. Stick that coat hangher in hole hook end in feel for a crab. Easiest way I've gotten crabs

If you would like to get up close to a cassowary check out Etty Bay beach. It's roughly a 15 minute drive south of Innisfail. The cassowary's frolick freely along the beach. They are somewhat used to humans and will walk straight up to you or straight past you.

This is all very would-be macho man, but a) it's winter, it's not croc season, as the weather warms up they come out for mating season, b) if there's a croc trap nearby, it's because a croc has gone rogue & is dangerous, so you wouldn't go near a croc trap.

A 5.5 m croc was removed from our local a few months back. Go fishing at night with a torch, lol....ALL those red eyes . Be warned, they can run up to 40km hour speed on sand.
