Another brilliant episode! Some perspective having owned a BX 16v and an Alfa 75 (V6) *and* having learned to drive in my father's Montego Turbo. If I owned them now, the only time I would use the MG would be to park it across the other two to stop them being stolen. Other two genuinely both excellent cars. BX was fast and rode so well with *that* suspension, and the Alfa, whether Twin Spark or 3.0 litre Busso, had character all day long. However, the 75 did have the most impossible interior ever - when Alfa made the 156 they hid the rear door handles to make it look like a coupe; when they made the 75 they hid the *inside* door handles - assumedly because the design team were all hooked on hallucenogens (electric window switches in the roof panel? that handbrake thingy??). On the other hand - oversteer on demand from about 30mph. If someone hadn't rear-ended it about 20 years ago I would probably still have it.

Absolutely great chat! Cheers lads! And yes I also cannot STAND motoring "influencers" who bring no real depth of knowledge or driving ability and are brainwashing the youth... Get off my lawn.

The Toyota Supra in Australia has been a huge disappointment, as people have been waiting for their hero car for years after seeing the prototype design, but it looks like bits tacked onto a BMW. The local Toyota has had a GR demo for ages, and now it has so many km on it, that its now for sale in their used car section.

As a hugely tragic fan of all things wheeled and Japanese since the 80's, my massive beef with the Supra is that Toyota seemed to completely overlooked the tie-in with their (perhaps hollow) Le Mans / WEC victories in recent previous years. They could have made the Supra a hugely celebratory swan song based on their triumphs in the insane TS LMP-1 cars and the Gazoo Racing brand in general with so much success across so many classes of motorsport, but they seem to have really missed a trick. Disappointed :(

I really like listening to these. Not sure who the target audience is. Kind of like just listening in on some buddies talk cars. Only note, and this is just kind of just silly, sometimes it seems like you guys really believe a Land Rover or Aston is an aspirational car globally. In the colonies, these are seen as giant hunks of shit bought by assholes or rich blond women.
