I like picking up rocks & sorting through them as much as the next autistic woman/girl, but at no point would I expect others to want to sit there listening to why I like a rock over another if I had them on display unless someone asked about them, in which case they might ask what it is & where I got it. Its like a having a music playlist going in the background while someone is over: they can enjoy the playlist or not, but it would be super weird to talk about why you like each song on the playlist. Someone might ask what the name of a song is & who the artist is, but it would be super odd to be asked or just start saying why you like it, ya know? Now, there are definitely exceptions. The vlog Snow Dogs Vlogs will go "rock hunting" on camping trips for a very specific type of rock called Ember/soda/Yooper-lites that glow orange/yellow under UV (specifically "a filtered 365nm UV light source"). They are only found in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the state they live in, so its special to them the same way one would cheer for a local sports team, even if they aren't any good. They go down to the beach at the RV with the UV lights find them & then show their " haul", sometimes with other glowing minerals too,.like Ruby.
