I think it’s important to be able to tell your kids to wait, mom and dad are talking right now. It’s good to model to the kids that your relationship is important and it’s not to early to show them that you care for each other as well as them

I’m a GenX. And pop socket for life. I gave myself a fat lip from my phone falling out of my hand and smacking me in the mouth. My top lip had an oblong bruise and was fat and continued to be fat and sore for days. And about 8 to 10 days later the bruise finally healed.

14:43 I use a pop-socket on my phone because, like you it makes holding my phone more comfortable. I honestly don’t know how I managed to comfortably hold my phone before having a pop-socket.

I think I just found the perfect anti skin picking hack. So I just found kids liquid skin bandage stuff in purple! When I put it on my finger tips it actually deters me and makes me stop because they look sort of dirty even though they are safe and protected. It looks a little crazy to have purple fingertips but it's better than ripped up ones. Hope that helps some others! ❤

I've been SO happy since you came back, but I have to say, I REALLY missed those babies!!! Nothing makes me smile or warms my heart like watching your littles!! I just can't with their giggles, hearing them talk and watching them learn and play. I missed you too, of course. It helps me to know there are others who suffer from severe dermatillomania. I pick my fingers until they bleed. I try so hard to control it, but I can't stop. I also have trichotillomania. I pull my eyelashes and brows to the point they are gone. 😢 (Btw...I'm a 63 year old Grandma. 😊) Thank you for sharing your life and your babies with us. I personally really missed you all so much. ❤ P.S. So excited Relax is coming back too!!!

8:55, I relate to this so much. Im a mama with 2 autistic sons who at the moment dont get along too much sadly. A lot of the times on the weekends my husband has to take one and play at grandmas and I stay home with the other one or vise versa. Its really a struggle no matter how many kids you have, what help you have, etc

Totally relate! My kids are 8,6 and 4 (but my 4 yr old is blind and special needs) so we talk and hang out once the kids go to bed but it’s hard cause then he has to go to bed for work soon after. We always make the best of it but it is hard and we do have those moments of like jeez it’s nice to finally talk to you 😅 but then it’s like we are both worn out haha tired from the day and the kids . It’s a phase of life and it has gotten better when he’s off and they go to school cause we get day dates now 🎉❤ but work days and nights are the tough ones. It gets easier and time frees up more the older they get ❤as long as you don’t add a zillion sports haha and things to run them around too haha

Mom of 3 ages 2,4 and 6 and can definitely relate to you and Erik not talking during the day. If we dare even try to have a conversation when the kids are around we’re constantly interrupted so honestly it’s not even worth trying until they’re asleep because it’s so frustrating. It’s hard missing your husband. I see him every day but we get so little quality time together it feels like I never see him anymore. 🙁

When you said how do parents of small kids communicate during the day I was immediately like we text. And then Eric texted you 😅😂 if we're at home together, sometimes we try having a verbal conversation. We will let the kids know we're talking and they shouldn't interrupt, or maybe they're being too loud, and we'll check in with them in a minute if it's not an emergency. Basically trying to help them understand that they are important, but not the most important person in the room at all times.

colleen! this isn’t really a tortilla talk question, but more of a suggestion I guess. I know a few videos ago you talked about maybe getting a “be brave” tattoo because of Flynn. I came to your show in Huntington last May and at your meet and greet I was going to ask you to write “be brave” on a piece of paper for me to get tattooed. (we were told we couldn’t ask you to write anything because of time and safety which i totally understood). I had really bad postpartum anxiety after having my son last year and your videos really helped get me through that time. i wanted to get that tattoo as a reminder that i can be brave and i can make it through hard things, and that im never alone in that. That made me think that it would be so cool if you could ask Flynn to write in his cute little kid handwriting “be brave” for you to get tattooed, so you always have that reminder directly from him. Been here since the beginning, so glad you’re back, from one anxious mom to another ❤

I’m AuDHD and was clearly hyperfixated on them and struggled with the change in routine. After just having my 3rd baby I’ve been enjoying watching your things again during feeds! Yes when kids were little it felt like we were ships passing in the night. We made a rule we needed to do 10 touches a day. Non sex$$l, it helped us greatly. Because I could be in kitchen cooking hubby would come in and just touch shoulder ❤️
