i went back andd took a look at some of the young adult fiction i read a long time ago and the font was large, the story and writing sucked. Cant believe how i managed to like it. whats lesser said is that a lot of classics are frivolous too. i read the picture of dorian gray and david copperfield, a waste. i stopped the latter halfway. i read all of wilhelm meister's apprenticeship, too, by goethe, and that book contained nothing, really. goes to show

Yeah, I see your point, a lot of classics are great, but some definetely show their age when read by a modern audience.
