It definitely was the noro virus. I live in Wisconsin and worked in an assisted living and we had an outbreak there. Started with two then everyone from second shift got it then the bosses and then more than half the residents and staff all got it. For 11 days no residents could leave their rooms and only cnas could go in there (me). Luckily the first shift cna's other than my boss didn't get it! And third shift cna's which is wild and I'm extremely thankful I didn't get it and only got a cold during it all. It was suuuuch a mess and stressful time.

The “stomach flu” is a common name for norovirus (a virus that makes you throw up/have diarrhea for around 24 hours and is extremely contagious) and it is not the flu (a virus that causes fever, runny nose, cough, shortness of breath, etc.). They are two very different things, the flu can be vaccinated against, norovirus cannot. Not a big deal, but something that should be noted. Hoping you’re all feeling better! ☺️

Yup, it was food poisoning, that is exactly how it's different than the flu too, with food poisoning you don't feel better after you throw up, you just have to throw up again! I've had it twice, yuck!

I think it's bigger cities that it is really popular in, not just LA. At least in the cities I've lived in the past 10 years (Honolulu, Seattle, and Dallas) plastic surgery/botox/lip fillers are popular.
