Oklahomas deffense is littered with high value and talent players. Pj adebowre, David Stone, peyton Bowem, Jayden Jackson, Nigel smith, we have 4 capable backers in Stutsman, Kanak, McKinzie, Lewis Our secondary is DEEP the 1s and 2s, and even 3s have played multiple seasons now and have improved drastically each year. I think even folks like us that keep w FSU very closely , will be surprised. MJJ was really a good faith move and it’s paying off so it looks. Little and Brown are gonna be great pieces as well.

Norvell has said that this is the fastest and strongest team he's ever had at FSU and I have to agree. They aren't as experienced as they were last year, but they have all the pieces to be potentially even better on defense and offese than last year. The strength of the defense are the DE's the D-line and the secondary which will be one of the best in the nation.

Georgia will be great. They always are. Alabama, lost saving. It's going to be hard for Alabama the next couple years. Michigan, is going to be terrible. The NCAA is going to come down on them and it's going to be difficult.

@@ryankilgore8844 No, not true. UGA brings back 8 defensive starters. Their entire LB starters and the best Safety in CFB. Plus, unlike most teams, UGA platoons a lot of players that get tons of reps even though they aren’t starting. Not to mention they still got Kirby Smart running the whole show. OSU & FSU will have a good defense that will have good stats that will be propped up by extremely easy schedules. UGA’s schedule is brutal so their defensive stats may not be what OSU’s or FSU’s will be. But OSU & FSU aren’t playing at least 3 top 10 teams on the road in 2024. You can sleep on UGA’s defense all you want. I just wouldn’t recommend it.

I’m thinking playing in a conference known for defense and running over offense, the defense will be better by default. The PAC12 ended being an absolute air show with 65-55 games, that doesn’t bode well for defenses in general.

It’s a lot harder to defend a passing offense than a smash mouth offense. Oregon offense are built on both, because our line of scrimmage is always strong. That’s why Lanning is recruiting more of elite DB’s and safeties, because of what happened with Washington last year. This year will be different at those positions. There were so many great QB’s in the PAC year after year, but weak on defense, that’s why Lanning made a major overhaul in defense. He knows what he’s up against when we start playing in the BIG10. The teams he’s preparing for are Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State.

Oregon will go as far as the D Line can take them, they have a good, not great, secondary after adding JM and Savage. But they just can’t hold up against a monster WR room they’re going to run into with tOSU without immediate pressure, off the edge and up the middle. Given time, the Ducks just don’t have the back 7 to handle top shelf offenses like the Bucks and whoever they could potentially see in the playoffs.

Idk about some of these. I think Oklahoma gets beat up in the SEC this year and struggles to be good for an entire season. FSU will he good because they have an easy ACC schedule. Oregon is a Pac12 defense playing their first season in a conference with big boys on every offensive line. They’re going to have the same struggles that Oklahoma has. I just don’t think that either have the D Line depth and overall talent to have much success jumping to their new conferences.

I think part of it is just how much they’re losing: Sanristil, Colson, Jenkins, Saab, and now the injury to Reed, that’s tough to overcome.

@@andrewmohrmann3599nah bro the only significant loss before Rod Moore’s injury was Sanistril. Kenneth Grant replacing Jenkins and he’s projected to be a first round draft pick. Same goes for Jaishawn Barnham at lb replacing Colson. Sabb wasn’t a starter but since Moore injury his loss to the transfer portal is significantly magnified. Michigan will have a top three defense this year and they have the potential to be better than last year. Pickle doesn’t have a clue.
