I agree with the song and this analysis. If you wanna break down a great Relient K song I recommend Which to Bury us or the Hatchet? or Jefferson Airplane or Mood Rings

@@ThePopSongProfessor Moods Rings is a classic but yeah I know that one might be tricky with some audiences. The first one is a break up song. I’m not sure what Jefferson Airplane is about but it’s catchy and deep. My Girl’s Ex Boyfriend is probably safe or you could cover him and Katy Perry’s song Long Shot. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGK7dp-sqKipa5I

I have been subscribed to your channel for years and I love your TOP videos. But also, Reliant K is my very favorite band and it makes me so happy to see you analyze one of their songs. I'd love for you to review their work more, Matt Thiessen is a really great writer, especially in the album "Forget and Not Slow Down." It's a really emotional album about being in love, and what it's like to lose it. You should definitely check it out!

Also, most of Reliant K's popularity was from people having strict parents. So most people who know them only know their early 2000s albums. And their "newer," 2007 and onwards, albums get almost completely overlooked.

I loved the live Album they just released and Matt’s side projects. I assume you follow all that. Mhmm and 2 Lefts Don’t Make a Right but 3 Do are tied for my favorite albums.

"unlike most Christian bands they were actually good!" 💀 I 100% had that experience growing up. I was only allowed to listen to "Christian" music. Relient K got me through that tbh.

Academic Advisor at a community college here - I couldn't agree with you more. College didn't pay off until I got my advanced degree. No one tells these students that the AA/AS are the bare minimum, or that the BA/BS track is quickly being considered the new AA/AS, and that advanced degrees are more powerful now than they've ever been. On the flip side, no one tells folks coming out of high school that an AAS in a trade like welding, HVAC, automotive, etc. can lead to equally lucrative and fulfilling careers. As an advisor, my AAS career-track students make the best grades because they're studying something they're genuinely interested in, and we find that their return to education for retraining or career shift is exponentially lower than those who achieve a bachelors. The establishment needs a major overhaul, and Relient-K hit the nail on the head.

Lot of wisdom in this pod cast. I have always wondered why anyone would go into debt to learn a profession that is not what they want to do and is not marketable where they want to live.

Hey there college kids. This fool is going to "explain" to you what a song means. HE"S ALWAYS WRONG!!.....It's pretty simple really. Every person reading this has at one time in your life had a class that covered poetry. And what was the question you were always asked in that class? "WHAT DO YOU THINK THE AUTHOR WAS SAYING"....They never told you did they? Yet somehow this fellow thinks a google search will reveal the meaning of song lyrics which after all are just poetry. The point of poetry is to make you think, to expand your horizons, your understanding. In addition to the meaning of the poetry will expand and change as you have more experiences in life. In other words, think for yourself, talk among your friends and discover YOUR meaning to the poetry and just ignor this clickbait fool
