Actually SNL has been very good most of the season. I think it started with the Kim Kardashian episode. Go watch the bit where a guy (Kieran Culkin) is trying to cancel his cable. One of the funniest skits I've ever seen.

Errr ... there were hundreds of better ones. But it is genuinely funny which is I suppose rare for recent lame standards of SNL. I am from Poland and I only started watching SNL through youtube two years ago regularly. And their best was imho circa from 2000 to 2013 when Wiig was a regular and the writing was consistently good.

There's been quite a bit of dark humor this season: R Kelly stuff, a cut for time but uploaded sketch about murderers running an air B&B, Kim K's monologue, Andrew Dismukes' predicted death, a cannibal houseguest twist during a seemingly sentimental pretape, dying patient in TikTok sketch, Alex Moffat confessing to killing a man, boy scouts being swept out to sea in a flood, "Clown Abortion" (if you count that one as dark), Mulaney monologue, sexual harassment seminar last week, etc etc...plus stuff from other seasons...and if you're being sarcastic nevermind lol.
