I have very good test score very good ecs and very good gpa and recommendations But i have taken two gap years due to a family problem. Should I explain that in the additional information section or should I apply without mentioning it I'm getting mixed advice from different people

There is a section for a GAP year essay. You can mention what you did during your gap years on there.

Up to you! You will not be automatically rejected for not discussing your gap year. Additionally, some schools will ask if you've taken a gap year in their application. If so, you'll have the option to submit a "gap year" essay.
