I feel like the interviewers had already made their mind up about Coach in the tone of the questions without actually listening to his answers. The truth is the kids in the show broke the rules (marijuana etc) and there are consequences for that. Netflix doesn't show him in the kids homes recruiting, him helping graduate kids, him helping the kids realise their D1 dream. So what if he uses profane language - his actions speak louder than words.

Two wrongs do not make a right . In the end Coach Brown remains a high profile coach who produced D1 and NFL Bound Players. One can only do so much for Some people who do not care or want to better themselves . He did his job .. He'll move forward .. Brown will move on knowing there is a future for him in football ; and many more doors will open for him in his life.

My two cents. Jason Brown is definitely being attacked because we are living in the obsessed technology age of social media. I personally think that he is an outstanding coach who truly cares about his athletes. As far as the viewers who think that he his too harsh. Let me put it in simple terms this show is not called First Chance U, Second Chance U, Or Third Chance U. It is called Last Chance U. These student athletes have been given countless opportunities in their middle school, high school and collegiate careers along with positive support from other coaches, teachers, and staff before they landed at Independence Community College. These "kids" are not in middle school. He is the exact person they need to push them to change their lives. Yes, he certainly gives them tough love despite the disagreement for his approach his numbers for D1 scholarships prove that his technique is successful. It so sad that in todays time being real is consider a negative. Last thing I would like to mention is if people feel the need to ostracize coach Brown for his coaching techniques how about we start a Netflix special on military boot camps?

I think Netflix made him look bad, of course he didn't handle things everyone agree with. But editing is a bitch, we all know that. His hard is in the right place, it's a hard world in sports. I played American Football in Dallas and this is not different then most places. Now it's shocking because of the cameras and the editing. He should deserve a chance with a great team to prove himself and handle it better than he did before.

Marcellus Wiley clearly understood the nuance of what Coach JB was trying to convey. That has everything to do with his understanding of the environments and influences that the athletes come from. Let's be real, we're talking about young black athletes coming from a culture where love has been tossed around solely because of the dollar signs they represent on the field/court/etc. JB understands that, and if you watch the show you can clearly see the respect players have for him on a personal level. I'm not shocked at all Whitlock doesn't get that. He's the same dude who wouldn't stand up for Kaep. He's been the other side of woke for a while.

I can't judge coach brown off of 8 hours of film that gets edited. What I can say is that he definitely is a real one and it seems his players actually do like him as a coach/person. And stats don't lie, he's gotten all those kids scholarships which means he doing something right. Most ppl don't understand that if a coach is chewing you out that means he cares enough to chew you out cause he knows the potential you have. If a coach doesn't then he doesn't care what you do and doesn't believe in you. And coach brown chewed out his players AND coaches, only to make them better/mentally tough.

He was definitely wrong to say those Hitler remarks to that German kid. I don't feel sorry for that kid either. Lashing and cursing out in the hallways at random people? He's no victim, just vindictive. JB made an awesome program at ICC and also created a toxic working environment. How you gonna fire a coach with a family living on campus then rehire him? That creates a lot of unnecessary stress. This new head coach seemed to be more level headed. They just won their first game so hoping this would be a different season for ICC.

The first interviewer is a one sided person. He had his mind up and thought he’d just come at coach brown and make him look bad. False coach brown is the real deal and won’t be made to look bad which makes him great. Then at end the interview he tried saying he can be a big asshole yet told coach he should tone it down. Again false because that guy is soft and brown isn’t.

Folks don’t know how coaches come up in different ways, everyone’s situation is different. It was a hard season, with a BAD group. Sometimes you have this. I think about will muschamp. When he was at florida and had urban meyers horrible character players, he was a general and yelling in their face, he wasnt like that with any other team and isnt like that at south carolina. Is he hard nosed yes, thats who some coaches are and its football, its personality, it works. Every kid is different. Every kid on his team this past season needed to hear everything he was saying. Unfortunately he has to work with players who are immature, think their talent can carry them, dont work, dont really care, dont really know what it takes to make it. When they get 25 they will. Lets not forget the old senile senior citizens who have seen half a million in their lives combined who thought that was too much money for a practice Field and nagged and bitched and wanted him fired. Coach brown is great, big fan and i believe majority of his players would come back years later and appreciate the leadership he tried to instill.

Them ppl playing football for Coach Brown are grown men. Cussing doesn't bother them I guarantee it. Coach Brown was from an inner city and he could relate to the kids and they could relate to him. I'm from the streets too and Coach Brown aint for everyone but hes the type of coach I would run through a wall for. Yea there are other ways to do it but his way can work too. I'm black and a lot of coaches dont relate to the minorities at all and if you look at the NFL it's mainly black. Feeling like your Coach understands you and cares really means a lot. Obviously Jason Brown was helping kids a lot too. A lot of ppl throughout the show speak on it but they didn't show much of that. I understand they only have so much time and they have a ton of footage, but damn.

I watched the 4th season and from what was shown to me his biggest problem was lack of discipline which starts with him. It appears he knows the x's and o's ,but he lost command of his locker room. You can have all the talent in the world but no discipline= losing.

40 D1 recruits a year. Holy shit. I wish I had a coach like JB. Kids today need tough love. Too many knuckleheads online influencing them for the WORSE. Makes me sick that he got blackballed. Think of how many kids end up in jail or dead because they had no chance to play for this man. Smh. Ain’t right dawg.

A coach that uses the language Brown does can get away with it only if he wins big. But when it's mf this and mf that and he is losing, he's outa there on a flatbed truck.

JB comes off like such a liar.....BUT he is VERY consistent in everything he says across all platforms/interviews. If he was lying, he'd have to be the best liar in the world to have the same stories, told the same way with the same numbers every time. I'm gonna stand by this man trying to help young men until there is enough proof to show he's not telling the truth.
