E36 Manual Swap - Is it worth it?

Part 1 of transforming my first BMW into a proper drift car begins with a much needed manual swap :) I might get a little carried away ....

Two things I’ve learned from E36’s. One- the getrag is extremely weak. I went through 3 not drifting before going to a zf. Two- if you do the hard trans mounts you must do matching or harder engine mounts. The movement allowed by the motor will twist on the trans mounts and break ears off the transmission.

Great manual swap guys. You have to bleed the slave cylinder under a vacuum. Otherwise, it will not work! Dutch regards Nico.

Fun fact, I actually ran a zf5 clutch/pressure plate on my Getrag in my e46 😂

so getrag does not like abuse, mine is m50 stock power stock tune ran on 195/50/15 with a welded 2.91 rear and at osw i clutch kicked second to oblivion. now i am zf. its worth the extra money.

So I am confused as to why ask her to give you the costs, when she did? The timing of the questions is irrelevant. At 2:36 she says it was $2500 then the parts to manual swap were less then $1000. Do you need her to break down every single price for every part number? Add another $1000 for the pedals, shifter, handbrake second hand seat and whatever other nick nacks she replaced. It's not that hard to work out?
