Ian Gillan created the the Jesus "Rock" persona on the 1970 album. Everyone else has tried to copy or spin the roll, but there is only one "creator". Others can play Jimmy Pages "Stairway to Heaven" solo, David Gilmours' "Comfortably Numb" solo, but they didn't create it. Ian Gillan not only played the creator, he was the creator, of this incredible character.

I fell in love with Colm Wilkinson without seeing him. I heard his voice whilst he was singing Jekel and Hyde. Totally Brillaint. Still have the DVd. Now that he is singing did he actually sing in Super Star?

Colm is a fantastic singer, but this song needs to be bluesier. His delivery is amazing, but too stiff for the vibe you get on the album-which is perfect.
