Thank you for the honest, candid video! I'll go ahead and tell you what I did. I set the little bucket on the floor next to the commode, as well as an empty plastic bag. Put on surgical gloves, hovered over commode, collected sample in hand, carefully dropped it the bucket, peeled off gloves, put them in plastic bag, tied it shut, finished my business, and cleaned up like usual. Then I poured the solution in the bucket, and sealed it shut. It's not the most enjoyable thing ever, but it sure is better than hoping for a "nothing but net" shot directly in the bucket. Plus you can control the sample size a little easier, in case it's a little... ahem... excessive.

I just did this today. "Please let me hit the target, please let me hit the target...." When I dropped the Box off at UPS, there was a woman behind me that was dropping the same box off. She tried to hide it in a Walmart bag, but sweetheart we could all see the logo thru the bag and knew what was in the box. Nice try though.

The biggest issue with the colonoscopy is you basically are going into the OR as though you were having major surgery with full anaesthesia, a co-worker did it, he said he was put out completely for it. The cologuard as I remember cost the insurance about $900, so it's not a $50 test by any means and if you dont HAVE insurance...
@Dueville77776 ай бұрын
But cologuard only checks like 42% of large polyps in your colon, whereas a colonoscopy will detect small and big and remove and test them. Why play around with your life?

@rayharrison7242 жыл бұрын
If they determine that there are polyps and you have to go in and have a colonoscopy your insurance company will treat it as "diagnostic" and not "preventitive" meaning they will not pay for the colonoscopy 100% as to where if you would have did the colonoscopy to begin with they would pay for it 100%. That is why I wouldn't have done Cologaurd. I just had my first colonoscopy because I turned 50 last month and they removed 4 polyps and it didn't cost me a thing.

You wouldn't believe how much fun it is for a woman to accomplish this. It says in the instructions not to get any urine in the (poo) tub. When I go, I can't help but urinate at the same time. There's no off switch on that spigot. Things down there are in close proximity to one another. To my horror I found that the rim the bucket sits down into, is fairly wide. Even scooting as far forward as I could, I knew there was no way to aim, drop, and not make a complete mess of things. What an experience! I'm not looking forward to reliving that ordeal, but it's certainly better than the alternative of getting hosed.

Regarding the size of the container, the instructions tell you not to leave a sample larger than the bottle that holds the preservative. Without getting too graphic, I called because of this issue. The sample has to be covered completely with the preservative. Your video is entertaining, but people should really call the toll free number to get answers to their questions, considering this is a test for colon cancer.
@parristx3 жыл бұрын
It seems this issue does come up for other people- maybe they need a "fill line" on the sample container. 😊 And getting scanned for colon cancer when you reach middle age is an important, serious thing. But an entertaining message to that effect makes the process more "accessible" than a standard, serious public service announcement. At least I think so.

I like to imagine what was going through the minds of the people who design things like this. Did they experiment with prototypes themselves? The instruction book is rather lengthy so they considered lots of ways people could do it incorrectly. Good luck with a successful first "go"! 😊

@@parristx Hi Parristx - guess what? I finally did mine. It was an awkward experience (I have never looked my poo so close), but thanks to your video I already had some idea what I was supposed to do and everything went well. I asked my husband to take my "box" to UPS store because the box was "obvious" and I was embarrassed :) 10 days later I got the result and everything was fine :) Thanks again!!!

Theres just too many things that could go wrong while using that. I'd end up not positioning myself right and shitting all over the bucket holder. Then if I did hit it dead center, that bucket aint big enough lol. I'd fill that bad boy no problem, and I'm not getting up mid poop to take that bucket and bracket away to finish up. Then after all that, I'd have to play with my shit with a scrapper?! Fuck that! I'm only 35, so hopefully by the time I need to get checked out they'll have come up with a better faster and CLEANER alternative. If not, then I'll just get scoped.

I suspect in a few years there will be blood tests for most cancers. Still an unpleasant process- but in a different way. Also- after having kids and changing several thousand diapers poop doesn't phase a person nearly as much. : )

Good grief you folks over think this stuff, sad when parents don't teach a child how to think and plan ahead , so as an adult because of a lack of awareness everything becomes a productions!

as in F-16 fighter exhaust ports, no two engines are identically aligned! and so, our asses are calibrated differently. 6:59 (I think it's a nationality thing) if you go camping that becomes apparent. no toilets.

I’ve had mine for a couple of months. I couldn’t bring myself to even face it. Today was the day. It was easier than I thought but it was sooooooo gross.

My nervous day... it was an ordeal foe me , as I was having a emotional nervous anxiety attack at the time...for several reasons... but do know better how to do this.... it helps, but still I do not like this and do not trust doctors and Big med, and big Pharma, and any doctors.....so it is all a huge imposition to me...and I refused the coloropcopy in clinic testing....I had one done before... the male lag guy talks to me as I see the colon on screen as it is being done...and It is personal and disgusting to me, what if the lab guy is a pervert in. Nature ? That would be a perfect job to have if they are a pervert or any other kind of bad sort... see...? How upsetting this can be ? So if I am required to go in to the clinic to do the formal kind, I will decline it ...and my husband will be ever so terribly angry at me...just like he was this morning insisting I do this one at home...I don’t care...I eat well and exercise two different ways, an diabetic and I pray hard...so I see no real reasons to do this and husband is insisting at me... that is why I am in anxiety , right now, too.... I hate this whole thing...

I totally agree with you; the Rothschild/Rockefeller funded conventional medical industry & nefarious pharmaceutical industry cannot be trusted... I do know because I am a research addict. Everyone always has cancer cells in their bodies at all times; so depending on a person’s biomechanics, physiology & what they’ve recently eaten or been exposed to through environmental poisoning plus all the GMO fake foods we in the US are getting. My pcp insisted I have all these unnecessary pre screenings of which I have absolutely zero symptoms: I know my body way better than any other person regardless if they have A-Z behind their names. The FDA stated that any MD can & many do prescribe meds that have been approved for whatever & can prescribe nuclear medicine for a hangnail; also stated “that is why it is called PRACTICING MEDICINE” aka all patients are nothing more than lab rats.
