I think this might beca case of the jurny beeing recorded in on go and cut uo indu episodes for multiple says, so the update mught well have been released way after thus and the nextbepisode was recorded but before we see it. This might be a little late as far as signals go there is not right or wrong track to be on like for roads and stuff. The signals assume the train is either enter or exiting the segment, when a train is entering a segment the signal on the current segment turn turn flashing green meaning a train is clearing the segment the new segment track will start flashing red meaning that a the train is trasitioning the signal area, when the train completely takes over the track segment the signal lights will change to red in the next segment. When a train is approaching another train on the same track you will get a yellow flashing signal to let the two aproaching trains know that a oncoming train is in the area and the one that has the right away can continue going, and the other one will have to pull off at the next switch and wait for the train to pass which will be a solid blinking red light and the next track section will be solid red. The track signals are pretty munch the same for the United States except all lines where its just mostly cargo don't have the yellow light, though are mostly used for passager train operations or light rail services which in the United States the light rail high speed trains have their own dedicated tracks in some locations other locations they share the track with cargo trains and limit speeds.

Colonel if you are passing through a station or factory, you must always ask for permission to enter station well before getting there. Completed my first job 650km long this morning, now have 150k in the bank. Once you get into ot this has great potential.

Damn the pop up is horrible in this one :( If they gonna use signals and lights you wouldn't see them till only a few meters away from your train..won't give you time to look at it at high speed. I guess it's due to being a early stage. hopefully they fix work on that.

yeah or a simple: hey next signal coming up is red at X meter distance, same for speed change sometimes you be going 120km/h then next speed limit is 100km/h and at that speed you have no idea at how many meters the speed limit change occurs so you have to break way ahead of time else you gonna blast trough the speed limit change at 120 in a 100 zone lol, tho it seems like going 10km/h over the speed limit does not give you a fine (when the speed limit number lit up yellow) but if you go by a lot faster than the limit it turns red and instantly get fined

The game has REALLY gotten into your head! I have NEVER seen you drive 50% to 20% BELOW the speed limit for an entire journey! Kept my eyes peeled, but never saw a steamroller in Mannheim, nor even a dude on a forkie. (Or DID we see one in there?)

How long until he realizes the Green "Left/Right" only indicates a POSSIBLE direction change. It just means "you cant turn left, no track". Its the availability of a crossing, not wether or not you should. If you're on a straight double-track with no intersections, Right will ALWAYS be red if you're on the Right track, since you cant go further Right. And Left will always be red if you're on the Left.. Unless there's an upcoming POSSIBLE turn coming. Which doesnt mean you SHOULD go there, just that its OPEN. Edit: okay that was true for the entire video until 8:00 when its the opposite. The game is actually showing the oncoming train track as "Green". It makes no fucking sense what so ever. Im with you gov. 9:45 OKAY i get it. It's partly sensible, partly making no sense because the game was coded in a rush. It's actually showing the SHORTEST possible route to your destination. Which is dumb, considering it's trying to cut 5 meters off your travel distance by switching you into the ONCOMING tracks. It really needs to take into account proper left/right traffic direction. Because we know the tracks ARE one-way, right-hand drive. Because the signals are placed facing one direction, just like you'd do in Transport Fever or any other game. They're NOT dual-way tracks. Weird the gps system doesnt care about that, especially when there are AI Trains in the world. I suppose they might also not care about that, but in that case why the heck was the world modelled with one-way signals on the tracks?

While I find the concept interesting I'll wait a bit before I get this. The game needs quite a bit of work (especially signalling and satnav). I don't necessarily need stuff like PZB but I should at least get the feeling that I know where i'm driving my train based on things like signals, the tracks or overhead wiring, like every country looks different in ETS 2. Even in the beginning with all the modules SCS used again and again they at least used the right signs in the various countries. At the moment it justs looks like a different take on the Derail Valley concept without walking. Still I'm curious to know in which way the game will shine tomorrow.

Yes, good job they haven’t modelled PZB really! Game looks great considering it’s very early access. If they bake a console version, which since it’s UE they could do, my hat will be flying into the ring.

I think a lot of the problem is that you keep shifting from the right road to the left road... I think this is a limitation of the route planning in that it picks the *SHORTEST* route, with the left being *slightly* shorter any time when the route ahead bares left. You'll need to think for the routing AI in that case and stay on the right hand side of any double track.

Shoulda driven more trains in Germany in the past, so you'd instantly know München to Bremen is the length of the country. Lord knows I only know 50 European cities because they're in Euro Truck 2, and I know no places on the British Isles because I refuse to drive on the left side of the road. This is not an admonishment, it's bemused appreciation for the broad landscape of video game geography.

either the game is bugged or i will have to delete the game and reinstall it because there is one specific part of the map where my game goes from smooth and non laggy to, literally 5 frame per second choppy laggy mess just in this very short part of the track the exact location is: when you leave Nuremberg power plant and try to go towards Nuremberg Warehouse, the last big curvature before the station its literally a very short distance but sometimes its game braking cause makes the game freeze for a bit tho if i wait 1-2 minutes it unfreezes and i can manage to get trough this part, tho yesterday i didnt play at all so gonna try again see if it stil does that did anyone ever experience similar issue in just 1 specific part of the map?

Do not follow that switch arrow ,well sometime its show you the right way like if youre pickin cargo and deliver cargo ,watch the real signal ingame not the signal HUD,right lane track is the right one or normal one

@@nickharper3137 yep happened to me was going at 120km/h i passed a green light then a few seconds later the message pops up saying an ai train is aproaching then i just see it coming straight head on into me lol i had to use emergency break to stop in last second then guess what? you try to back up and the ai follows you... i even tried to switch lane moving backwards and followed me trough lol had to back up very far away into the last trains station cause else i couldnt do anything

@@zekrom6537 the ai know how to troll the player lol ,basically if you see warning aproaching train slow down a bit ,look at diamond red signal if its blinking move to the other lane ,if it solid red that mean you need to stop (again i cant guarantee this will work 100% because the game atm its quite buggy especially on signal part) sometime i just ignore the red signal ,zoom the camera from the cockpit view and try to see the incoming train and also see signal on the raik

@@Tolakram you mean the highlighted, currently selected direction ? It turns red if you don't have access to that track, otherwise it is green. But I just assume your supposed to be on the same side as the signal pairs, so you go between them.

@@Tolakram the game expects you to follow the route when set to green, but, does the game expect you to follow the route when there is a train occupying the route further up or use your own common sense to ignore the route that is set and get a fine, if that is the case, the game is flawed.

I just don´t get it, the signals clearly tells you to drive on the right side track. There is green lights on both sides of that track! You keep driving on the left, where you do not see any signals! How can you not figure that out? When you are driving your car, do you drive on the side of the road that has no traffic lights facing you?... Look i am sorry but... i just can´t!

Take a close look at the switch indicator on the minimap. Also look closely at the signals: every signal is replicated for bot sides of the track, it's two-way. So how does this happen? 1. Because the signals are two way and 2. Because the game keeps telling me to drive on the left.
