Fat Wrecked was one of the most popular and talented RuneScape channels back in 2007. He helped many other famous KZbinrs like TehNoobShow grow, and was friends with players like Zezima. But he would sadly die right at the peak of his career, and his RuneScape channel would later disappear forever.

As if you worked at a news station and were reporting and said one sec let me clock out so I can talk about this next story... this opinion is sooo stupid, like it's one thing if the dude just died recently or he made a whole slew of videos.... but documenting a story weather sad or not is still his JOB you know the thing you would never do for free so why in God's name would you expect him too just because it's a little sad the things he is talking about

I lived around the corner from Kerry and Tony at James's parents place for a couple of years as I was still a teenager. James was 19 at the time and I was 17. I'm still friends with Tony and Kerry. Their oldest son Damien just had their first child, Tony's first grandchild who actually took on Ashley's name as his middle name! The KZbin channel was removed because his channel got hacked as explained in the video. I managed to get the account back for Tony by paying the hacker along with Ant1venom and Tootiseroll2. We secured the KZbin account and ultimately we all decided instead of keeping it up, we'd archive the videos with Tony for him to reupload to his KZbin channel as he could no longer keep the account secure. I still have the email account. I have to keep sure it stays active so it doesn't get deleted and recreated by hackers if it ends up purging because they could still hack into his credentials and possibly even his RuneScape account if it's ever taken again. Thought I'd add that little tidbit :) Great video mate!

Man I remember when Fat Wrecked was a super well known rs player, miss those old days when no one knew what was going on in the game. It was a lot more about the actual community, there were players like Fat that stuck out because of the people they were and their social recognition in the game. Such a great time to play RuneScape until the death of free trade the wilderness and eventually EOC driving me away till Osrs brought me back. Many years on shifty private servers inbetween 😂 honestly which reminds me more of the old days that Os because of how small and social the communities are. 😢

RIP Ashley! just seeing the thumbnail of the video before even watching, i knew itd be on FatWrecked. Just so iconic if you played runescape back then, and what awesome parents he had.

god this video was heartbreaking. you're doing a service uploading videos like this. ive been playing runescape for years but i was too young when all the legends were alive to know about them and their impact on the game

"That's Mom and Dad, to protect him like we did when he was alive." That part really got me. What wonderful parents Ashley was blessed with. I'm gutted they had to make that video to prove their son was dead to some assholes online.

It's crazy to me that all the way back in my youth, my pre-teen days, I still remember the day when the entire Runescape playerbase was mourning Fat Wrecked and I was cluelessly wandering around in the background...

It is really comforting to know that he had really sweet parents growing up. The effort they put into keeping his legacy alive is incredibly sweet, and says all you need to know about who they are as people and how much they loved and supported him.

Missing out because of health conditions sucks. I had to drop out of high school during my first year because I developed Epilepsy, its well controlled now but I always do feel a little jealous when my friends bring up the fun things they did in high school.

This guy was actually on my friends list and we would talk from time to time. Remembered him after not playing RuneScape for 12 years and looked this up

It's awesome how his parents loved his passion (RS/YT) just as much as he did. Ngl made me tear up a bit at the end when it showed their matching tattoos

This story hit close for me. I went through pretty much the exact same medical things as he did with some differences. You have to do the most with the time you have as even just a cold could be the thing that gets you. Wish he could have made it through.
