What an interesting story! I went and looked up the photos and it’s amazing that people were taken in by them. One of the photos of the girls, you can easily see that even the hand looks “off” like that whole part of the image was doctored. I love watching you colour and listening to these stories, these are some of my favorite videos to watch. Thanks for sharing!

ikr when you look at the photos it's so obvious ...except the fifth one. I think Frances was right ... people wanted to believe which during that time was really common. It just amazes me that it took so long for it to be resolved and there's still a mystery. If you look at one of the photos ...Frances looks like she is about to laugh as well! Those two girls must have had a lot of fun until the whole thing got out of hand. Happy coloring x

I love that whole story. I know there are fairies. My boys used to tell me about them living by the creek behind our home at the time. I believed them. They still talk about them and they're full grown men now.😅

I'm glad your boys got to see them! It seems that they are always more visible to children and I have theories on that too haha! They have to be real....how else would our lovely artists get the inspiration for the pictures in our books! Happy coloring x

What a lovely story. I love your videos!!! Anyway, I went and Googled all of that. The fifth one is either a really really really good fake or it is real. You can see through the wings. I don't know anything about cameras back then but I do know there wasn't any PhotoShop. lol. I believe!!!

There was no Photoshop that's for sure! There were pretty skilled photo techs though like Snelling that were able to wave a bit of magic. Frances always believed in that fifth video and both girls said that they had seen them before just not on those occasions. I figure they must be real, how else did someone originally come up with the concept and the look that has been pretty universally accepted. It seems probable to me that Frances being a young child with a more open attitude to the world would have seen them. I'm a believer too .. who doesn't want a little magic in their garden? Happy coloring x :)

Thank you so incredibly much Lea. I love your stories and color and crime stories so much so much. Wasn’t sure what it would be like when you mentioned fairies at the start but I absolutely loved it- didn’t doubt I would, just wondering how it would go! . Your research and story telling abilities are amazing… perhaps a whole book of various stories one day !? 🤷‍♀️🫣 And i actually watched/ listen to this in the very early hours of the morning/ middle of the night when it was first released and my notifications went off ( always excited to see a new video from you). But apparently I was too uncoordinated to actually hit the arrow to leave the comment and it didn’t register here😂.

haha you are awake late! David loved this story as well ...usually he doesn't listen to a word I say when I tell him what story I'm doing but this one he pulled up a chair for and looked at the pictures as well. I find "war time stories" and law cases fascinating because there is a real shift during that time where people and the law responded to the war times. So many laws that had been set in stone for so long changed in this period - it's really fascinating. Plus the rise in supernatural and spiritual matters increased and became mainstream to an extent. It was a fascinating time. Happy coloring x
