It doesn't adapt to your skin tone, it adapts to your skin's ph level, which (as far as I know) has no correlation to skin tone

@li2 how alkaline or acidic your skin is. you can get colour changing ph testing strips that show you the ph of a liquid, I imagine this blush is sort of the same, its just changing colour because of the ph of your skin, which is pretty similar for everyone (unless you have a really alkaline/acidic foundation, skincare or anything else, even splashing your face with water could affect it).

Ummmm I use Tarte Shape Tape...and fyi u can use any 5$ five dollar (or less really) PH reactive lipstick and get EXACTLY the same result ....Essence makes one with a lil frog on it ....guess im just 2017

There’s no such thing as anything that “adjusts” to your tones. It will look the same on everyone. There’s no magic behind it. Just like when you buy that “matches to your tone” foundation. You still have to choose fair, light, medium, dark, etc. I’m sick of these gimmicky products.

No the ph thing is real. It can actually work that way chemically. Infact the green lipstick that changed colour, it was also reviewed by lot of youtubers. While on most of them it was kinda pink, it was almost maroon on mine. This is i guess similar concept to that product and it does work out !

Sure pH will change the color. But a lot of these products market themselves as being “perfect for your skin tone”. There’s nothing that’s going to make the color perfectly match you. pH doesn’t go hand in hand with skin tone or undertone.

@@xotennisxgirlox No one is denying that this is gimmicky. But the color change is due to your PH balance so it is still a “personalized” gimmick. It does not apply the same to everyone. Its usually either blue based pink, a reddish pink, or maroon and they usually do not flatter the skin tone. So you were correct about that one. I think people were just trying to make you aware of the process.

I really didn't see any real benefits coming from it I say you came out better just with the average foundation and a more subtle blush. When I look for makeup I look for something that make my skin look beyond a million dollars because.it's already nice and clear. No acne, no liver spots, no wrinkles. So whatever I buy it has to complement it. The choice is yours but I've seen far better. Without having to put coats and coats of makeup on that's where I draw the line.
