Having a grandson who suffers from febrile seizures, I want this hat for him and his little sister who’s on her way into the world.

Technology like this can also help parents with disabilities. For example, technology that can detect why Baby is crying can help deaf parents meet a babies needs faster.

Very useful if they hats can be produced without harmful dyes or chemicals. Early detection is important.

So a machine can’t knit. And the owlet sock does in fact track the baby’s health much as a smart watch would for an adult… please, inside edition, get your facts together!!

This would make most parents lazy though, parents need to get in the habit of touching their babies back to feel if they have a temperature as well as educate themselves on the correct togs and layers to use in different temperature. *Yes good for some peoples situations* but most parents should be often checking their babies temperature because technology can go wrong and if they have a fever they should be checked with a thermometer for accuracy. The hat cannot replace that. I can't see the NHS midwives recommending this.

This is stupid, who is gonna have a hat on your child that much , you only wear hats outside and your not outside very long with a baby and what do you mean invasive thermometers they literally have thermometers that don't even touch the skin and with the click of one button

On the lsu website it stated that it’s a concept that’s now a Protype. They likely don’t have the technology in a viewable stage. Going into the new year, I would highly suggest doing a slight google or chatgbt search before commenting.

And also no proof the app on your phn is gathering information not necessary in the use of the hat.

Not to mention that they would most likely be too expensive for most people. Like 1 alone would probably be like $200+ to purchase.

Yes because as we all know, it's incredibly realistic to monitor your child's temperature with a thermometer 29 hours a day.

How much $$$ ?. Will the cost be worth the actual usage of a possible life savi g device 🤔 .. im not sure all this technology isnt best for the privacy of the parents nor child since ot seems you have to use you phone 🤔 how much of the gathered is shared without knowledge or permission of the parents. Not exactly a Walmart gift is this...
