V and B are the same in pretty much every context I've encountered them. L is different though. For example, pure red has a normalized value of one but a lightness of .5. But they all describe the property of color which hue and saturation do not so I'm using them interchangeably here. I might do a segment in the future where I stress this distinction and go into stuff like color space, gamma, bit depth etc.
