This is awesome man thank you so much!!! I actually used slog 2 and it looked pretty darn good! I saw Quazi a real good colorist use Panasonic v log but this was for flog not flog 2.

Thing I want to add is use color assist on the fuji. I’m not saying you don’t just who ever sees this comment. It helps with white balance a lot.

How do you set your white balance in run and gun shooting? Automatic Fuji White Balance or do you use a grey card? Greetings

never auto wb as it will shift during recording. Trust me, i learned the hard way

Yes… autofocus is much improved… just a short test today… in a forest environment, ok lighting - a person running away from me at around 150 meters out, was perfectly recognizable as a face/head, using the Fuji XF 150-600 to do the test. The head at this point, was really small, the entire height of the person was probably around 1/4 of the frame

This method works well until the sky appears in the frame. After all the manipulations, the sky turns a little purple, even if the white balance was set correctly.

why shoot flog 2 then? just shoot straight with camera.. it's a weird approach, loosing quality in transcoding

More dynamic range, more flexibility to color grade the footage and you loose the quality in transcoding anyway as the final format is always 8bit and low bitrate, while you record in 10bit and higher bitrates. So the footage overall comes out better at the end with flog2.
