Hi Rico! Thanks for your efforts in making this video. It is very appreciated!!! I'm very new to Darktable. Learned a lot, just figure out the snapshot and color balance tool! Thank you so much!

Hi Rico I appreciate the information you put out for using darktable. I am wondering if you could make a video on how to get the creamy look on photos that seems to be popular with alot of lightroom users. I can't seem to find anyone who edits that style on darktable. Thank you.

What did you guys think about this tutorial? Would you like me to create more of these in depth tutorials, or do you prefer the creative tutorials? Speaking for myself, I'd like to have you make both types of videos, as both are equally educational and helpful to me. And it would be highly appreciated if you can do a detailed video on different masks (like, parametric or drawn).😍 Have a good week ahead.

@RicoResolves5 жыл бұрын
@@frankdusoswa9583 fantastisch idee Frank, dat heb ik met de afgelopen twee geprobeerd en de videos over de split tone module bijv. Bruce is idd ontzettend uitgebreid. Hij maakt in depth tutorials over modules, mijn stijl is meer creatief idd.

To use a complementary style of color grading, split tone would be the tool to go?
@RicoResolves5 жыл бұрын
Hello bubu, split toning only let's you colorize the shadows and highlights. It won't affect the midtones.

Dear Lord, eyeballing your tiny mouse pointer and minuscule text is so hard considering that app layout/options change with new versions. Any chance you can zoom in when making changes so we can clearly see the options you select?
@RicoResolves3 жыл бұрын
Yea, I have a colored mouse pointer now too. I'll activate it on my next video. Zooming in is a bit more harder to do with Davinci Resolve than it was with premiere

so theoretically you can basically use the color balance module to do all the editing ?
@RicoResolves5 жыл бұрын
In this case: Yes! In many other cases: Yes! However, the color zones module is another powerful tool because you can change the hue (colors) with it. Something the color balance module can't! Both are my favorites!

@@RicoResolves NO colour balance is only one of several color modules, each has its own particular strength and weakness.

I’ve been trying to search on the web for a while. Is there any way to export a lut/3Dlut from darktable (i.e. a .cube file) to be used in another program? Thank you
@RicoResolves5 жыл бұрын
Great question! Unfortunately there isn't. You can however, use LUTs in darktable 2.7. Styles and presets can still be exported accordingly.

where did you get darktable ver 2.7?
