Jennifer I cannot wait to hear what you think of the Lion Brand color theory yarn? I think their color peacock is really pretty! If it was named Grey sweatpants that would mean comfy and cozy and relax so I think gray sweatpants would be an amazing meme for a colorway of Grey! I think your Swatch with the color theory is turning out really beautiful like the three colors that you picked to Swatch! I think the blue and the teal and the white look beautiful together! I really like the tourmaline color it's a really beautiful light green. I think it looks really good crocheted and knitted!

Color Theory is one of my favorite yarns. I made an awesome blanket with 16 of the 18 colors. It is wicked soft, squishy, and drapey. The colors work great together. I really like Two of Wands' aesthetic.

Thanks for sharing! The yarn is very pretty, nice to see it worked up. Last time LB had 30% off I bought the Aurora Fade Shawl kit using this yarn. Of course I haven't started it 😂 🤣 hopefully soon. I used to gravitate towards neons and brights but lately have found myself going more for muted and neutral colors?! 🤷 A new phase. 😂 Have a great day! 🤗

Two of Wands has a cable sweater pattern, with this yarn as the recommended (you can get it as a kit from Lion Brand). It’s a beautiful sweater and the yarn was so nice to work with. I found it gave great stitch definition. I also made the February hat, with my leftovers. And the stitch pattern shows up wonderfully.

Also, if it's splitting, change the end you're pulling from - if you're pulling from the center, change to the outside of the ball. It changes the twist, making it hold together better.

WRONG. Where you pull from does not change the twist! 99.9 % of yarn is S twist. To get a Z twist it has to be spun with a Z twist. If you don't believe me then take a photo of a piece of yarn from each end and notice the twist stays the same. What does ignorance feel like?

@@SuzyEH one way of pulling the thread unwinds the twist. So a center pull for skeined yarn tends to untwist the yarn. But that's why I cake it out in and avoid the issue.

I think if you used all 18 baby skeins to make a scarf or cowl it would be pretty. It might look cool if you tied them all together, it would be pretty if you used your knitting machine to make something. Thanks for the review!

Ooo, this looks fun. Maybe a family set of hats using helix knitting (basically one skinny stripe of color at a time) to give a "scrappy" sorta look. Base color (mainly brim) individualized for each family member to give a complimentary family set without being exactly matchy matchy. I can hear you in my head saying "this is making my brain light up". Blessings

Those 3 you didn't like, aren't in my regular wheel house, but I think they'd look great together in a fall or harvest project. Not Halloween ish but Fall/Harvest. Or if you're trying to recreated those colors from the 70's. But that's my opinion. I wouldn't gravitate towards them unless I was doing a Fall thingy, but I'd rather have Halloween over fall but that's me.

Edit: with a small swatch, you are missing out on the weight and drape of a bigger project, of course. I love hugging my son's blanket as Iam making it! I have picked up a bunch of this yarn for the fantastic price of 4 for $20 but obviously, I love it enough to pay the full price, too. I have paid full price for several of my orders but keep my eyes open for the sale prices! Check out the Midnight Jasmine Wrap (the shawl Jennifer mentioned-- I have that kit but haven't made it yet! Still working on my son's KING SIZED blanket that grows slowly at the rate of about 4 rows per inch!). I have forgotten how to knit so I don't have any feedback about that. Yes! You are right on! It is magical worked up! So glad I bought it!
