Hope everyone enjoys the tour of this epic Colorado Log Home! If you missed the question in the video here it is again, and be sure to reply back! This home is built at 9000' elevation. "What would happen if we brought standard windows up from sea level to this elevation?"

You guys are excellent, top of the game! Remember Holmes on Homes? Same deal... You are WAY out of most's folks $ range by a long shot. Most of us are poor now thanks to the demons who destroyed pretty much everything including the economy, but it's still nice to dream when you see those who still care enough doing things with pride in craftsmanship.... right. What would happen
@awalker27234 жыл бұрын
The glass would shatter because of the gas expanding due to pressure ( altitude)
@autostyleonline13114 жыл бұрын
My guess is the gas in-between the panes would create a vacuum (going from sea-level air pressure to 9000ft elevation air pressure) which would either crack the glass or break the seal. BTW, this house is BA!

Next, add the walkout basement for about $70,000 totaling $547,000. The customers home in the video and photos has larger 10"x10" logs, customized cabinetry, windows, doors, etc. increasing the price $65,000. One more thing... when you build a home in Colorado, expect to pay more for building costs. You should anticipate another 15% to 20%. We have many options available and ways to reduce the cost. while I get that each home owner has different tastes and style. The dinning room table and chairs just don't work for this cabin at all. The master bedroom has too many wood textures and three different stain colors. The ceiling is fine but the walls and the wood choice for the bed frame don't work. I don't have an issue with the brick work for the fireplace making it a ice feature. But the window casings color right next to the fireplace just isn't working. It just seems there are too many different wood patterns and color stain choices. Everything should compliment the designs and pick up different but at times subtle color cues.
