Colorado Trail 2024 Thru-Hike Video 41 (Missed the Silverton train)

Arrived about 3 hours behind the schedule to catch a free train ride into Silverton, Colorado. I was supposed to be at the Elk Park Train Station just down the trail at 11:10 am but arrived more like 2 PM. Luckily, while setting near the tracks having a sit down lunch, I was able to film the train heading back to Durango. The hike from the train tracks up the next pass was strenuous but worth the beautiful view. Got a hitch into Silverton after a car watched me pick up a dead marmot off of the Million Dollar Highway to place it on the shoulder. Do good deeds and good deeds will come to you.
