They didn't run the clock down before they scored. Rushing to score in college you will always lose close games. Run the clock down far as possible. Give them no time. Pressure them to make a play. They made it easy for them.

I was watching live to the third quarter and I believe he was 21/23 before the interception. Shadeur was killing. Defense was getting ate up by Giddens which opened up that pass game. They left that cb on that receiver in a 1v1 and it ended badly at the end. GG tho

The defense didn't step up when needed it most, and other than a couple poor ig penalties, and an under pressure overthrow i thought Sanders did well behind a poor O line, way too much 4 on 4 pressure. Giving up 85 yards in 2 plays for a td late in the 4th lost them the game, and i partly blame the play calling by the coach. They should have won this one.

There’s a reason a ranked team can play an unranked team and still be the bettors underdog. The absolute last thing that would ever be used in the predictive analysis of a matchup are the teams AP rankings. You can make a case for the CFP rankings at the end of October because they’re obviously used as part of the playoff decider. Why do you believe that number is so important?
