I struck gold last weekend attending Stitch-Con. There were so many talented stitchers. It was a wonderful experience. As I sit and stitch ,I am watching gardeners trimming my neighbors willow tree. Great video I have stitched Hands on Designs Dog block party and Mend block party. I have two others to stitch. They are so much fun and not difficult to put together.

I have I little tin that something came in, that I use as my cross stitch tool box. It's only about 3"x3"x1". It's about the perfect size for everything. My favorite tool, is my trolley needle, I use it as a laying tool to make my stitches neater. I love the gold bag, it's gorgeous!

Your Quaker Dwelling is beautiful! It's always fun to see your videos. They are so full of good stuff! The gadget that I can't live without is called a dolally. I bought it years ago and I don't think that person still makes them, but I hope that someone does, and maybe calls it something else. There is a bent wire, like a giant eye of a needle, on one end and a little wire hook on the other with little chain in between for length. When you stitch to the bitter end of your floss and don't have enough length to turn the needle and go through your stitches to finish off, you use this. The thin wire "eye" runs under your stitches and the hook grabs your thread tail to thread the "eye". Then you pull the wire "eye" back out and your thread is secured. This girl needs a gold willow.

As usual another wonderful flosstube to ooh and ahh over!! The GOLD project bag is so beautiful and the WILLOW pattern book is very inspiring, would love either. Being an old time sewer/quilter my most used tool is a sewing awl. I use that like a third hand for almost every project. My collection of seam rippers contain at least 6 beautiful wooden handle ones and when I use them I just smile. I always look forward to seeing what you are working on, what tools you find helpful, and all the patterns and projects you have brought out to show us from your store. One of my favorite tools I actually bought as a souvenir while on a trip in Norway. It is a small beautiful wooden dust pan and brush that restaurants use to brush crumbs from tablecloths. I use mine to brush off the bits of fabric from my cutting table. Another favorite is a wooden needle storage tube. It’s pretty with a carved design on it but more importantly I can find it in my needlework bag and it keeps my needles safe. The gold needle kit bag looks handy and I want to make the adorable Willow long pillows. Thanks for another great video.

I find a pair of tweezers very helpful sometimes when I am stitching. I use it to pull a needle through stitches on the back of my fabric when I am ending a thread. I also use it to pull out little pieces of thread when I have to frog stitches. I always have a pair hanging on the little mason jar I use as a corral for my tools. Your Quaker Dwelling is just amazing. I love Kathy Barrick. Willow and gold. Would love to make some of those sweet pillows-they would be great stocking stuffers. Thank you for the video. I always enjoy listening to you as I stitch.

I am awarding you a gold star for consistently well done videos. I love the component parts of each one and am always delighted with the little stitchy accessories you find. I have noticed that many of the samplers have stylized willow tree motifs. Love the tree and the motifs. Since using overdye threads, I now keep a roll of blue painter's tape at the ready so when I pull out my mistakes, I can pick up the floss bits easily off the fabric. I wear bifocals and use Magni-Clips now to see the increasingly small holes on fabric. The lenses sit low over the bifocal only allowing me to see clearly above without having to flip them up, though they also do that. I got them on amazon. My last sort of tool is the ribbon lanyard I use with my stork scissors attached on a clip so that I can wear them around my neck while stitching and they are always handy and at hand. Lastly, I am thoroughly loving Stitch Camp, my first but won't be the last.

My favorite use every time I stitch tool is my thumb needle and pin cushion. I used to put it on my ring finger, but it was then behind my work-in-hand fabric. I switched it to my thumb and it is great. I make them out of a 3 1/2 inch square of fabric folded into a triangle, turned, stuffed and closed. Then sew the two bottom corners together to fit the thumb. I like your refrigerator dishes! Willow.

My tools are here and there and a container would be great! Gold or golden even :) I'll have to keep that in mind to come up with something. I keep my scissors right in front of me on the desk but counting pins; my tool suggestion for the day, are in my pin cushion near my sewing machine and having something closer to where I work on my HAED while watching FlossTube doesn't have one either. Where have I been? I usually keep a needle in a tote with my various projects and a few have scissors in there too with all the floss drops and floss so I just don't immediately think of a tool station or container. Sounds like it would be smart to keep such a thing on my desktop. Loved your finish and how fun you've made your calendar book with stickers. The stories they tell!

Your Quaker Dwelling turned out so beautiful! Thank you for showing hoe a linen color can really change the look of a piece. I have a small wooden tray on the table next to my stitching spots that has a couple of pin pillows I've made in it along with other odd and ends. My favorite tool in there however is a rosewood laying tool. Not only is it beautiful but invaluable when I may be using 3 strands of floss on 14/28 count to achieve better coverage. Sometimes I use it for counting stitches too. I call it my mini wand! The gold sunflowers in my garden are getting so tall but not as tall as a willow. Take care & keep stitching!

Your laying tool sounds wonderful. Isn't it nice to have beautiful tools like that?

I have an ultra sharp pointed tweezers that I keep with my stitching stuff. I can use it to pick up fluff, poke threads back through to the back, stab myself in the finger...all that amazing tweezery magic. I love those square blocks! I am going to have to add them to my cart so that I can accidently purchase them very soon, lol. Especially the bees! Thank you for sharing all the stitchy goodness! Take care of you🤗❤ Gold Willow

You made me laugh - "stab myself in the finger" - yes, been there, done that, too!!

Hi Sheri! Donna Brown here (not Jim) I really enjoy your floss tubes and only recently discovered you completely by accident. I told my hubby that I wish for a road trip some day just to visit your shop, but we live far away so I may have to be content with online shopping. I love weeping WILLOW trees and the GOLD edges of my Bible :) One of my must have tools is a magnetic needle minder, because without it I would be constantly loosing my needle. The one I have looks like a blue bird and it’s so cute sitting in the corner of my stitching. 😊

My favorite tool in my gold bag is my corner gauge. Helps me start all my new projects.
