Thank you for that, just disabled some settings. You're the only person messing with color control app for real on YT. Would you mind helping me with some settings? I have an LG B9 which doesn't have Oled Motion but I enabled it through the app. What I don't understand is how it should be looking like on the TV. I use HDR 1440P 120Hz with Gsync and when I turn on OLED Motion to High, its still grayed out on the menu of the TV. Is that correct? Do I have to turn off Gsync VRR to make it work or not? I can see a better motion clarity when gaming but not so sure.

Hi and thanks for sharing such a useful video. If we just login to the service menu, only to see whats around and check for eg the total onscreen time, is there anyway service can trace that and null our warranty? I mean without changing anything are they able to see that we've logged in once?

No, there's a service log that registers everything but you don't have to access the service menu to know the hours, it's available under regular settings

I am hoping to upgrade to an OLED TV in the near future. My main use case will be gaming, but a lot of the titles that I play aren't HDR games. Not every PS5 games supports it, I play quite a lot of Nintendo Switch, and on PC I typically don't bother using HDR. Thing is, many people seem to forget about this crowd. The locked out Peak Brightness setting resulting in these SDR games looking dull was the main thing putting me off getting an LG OLED, making me lean towards a Sony, Samsung or Panasonic. With this workaround, I guess an LG OLED will be a perfect TV for me with all of my doubts addressed? Still though, it's totally pathetic that LG make it so that we have to do this! Hopefully given enough complaints, LG will eventually fix this!?

LG isn't going to fix it, they do it on purpose. It doesn't really matter if you have a PC. I never have to use SDR on my PC, I play all games on HDR looking amazing, check out more of the videos

There's an accessibility setting to set everything to black and white. Make sure that's not turned on. Also check that the Color depth is at least at 50

Hi, nice videos! Do you know if you can permanently remove ASBL GSR and TCP using this program on an LG C3 ? The service menu has those options blocked for the new LG C3 line. The only way is to start the TV in power only mode then you can access the settings, but once you turn the TV off and on again, it start back in user mode and you lose the changes you've made. Do you know if this app makes it permanent ?

I'm not sure if it makes it permanent, but it should. Give it a try. This app allows you to access the real service menu on the C3/G3

Do you have a CX or C1? At 60fps/Hz, the flickering might be annoying for a while, but you might get used to it. You can use it at 120fps/Hz in some games that have a consistent enough fps like Warzone 2 on the PS5. The flickering is gone at 120

My head still hurts I really don’t think I can get used to it 😅 I play most games on console on resolution mode to get the best graphics - when combining this with vivid mode I get the absolute best black levels , the most vibrant colors and the smoothest picture which really has the look and feel of something between 60 and 120 fps …. BUT it creates some artifacts which I gladly take when these games look so much better ….. no game mode setting does quite cut like the vivid mode with Smooth Movement combined …… I tried sooooooo much even the latency delay in vivid mode is not that big of a deal when the picture feels and looks so much worse in comparison to the vivid mode . Still love how you still try to squeeze a bit more out of the C1 2 years after release when most are just covering the newest for a short amount of Time

Can anyone explain to me how I can use ColorControl to access the 1113111 HDMI override menu on an LG C9? Using the magic remote or service remote doesn't work. Have used ColorControl to access the service menu but can't see any HDMI override settings in there.

I don't know how to access that menu with the ColorControl app and I'm not sure if the C9 has that menu. Here in the comments I remember someone with a C9 telling me that they did have access to that menu but I'm not sure about that and I don't know how to access it, I've search in the past with no success, let me know if you find out how so I can share it if it's actually possible

for me it says no LG tv was found, make sure they connected to the same internet or pc. But the tv is connected to my pc with HDMI and to the same WIFI. How can i fix this?

Hi, I like to watch movies in a dark environment and accordingly setup my C1 image for a dark presentation. My problem is that when I click Home on the remote it brings me the home screen where everything is too bright. Same thing will all built-in apps. I did not find a way to reduce the brightness for home screen/apps in any of the provided settings. Did I miss something? Is it something that I could change using the ColorControl app? Thanks!

Not that I know of. The brightest of the UI on the TV depends on the brightness settings, but I know what you are referring to, basically watching dark content if you touch the menu it messes up your eyes adaptation to darkness so for a moment you can't see well the dark scenes well. What I do for that is on the service menu turn off TPC, but that can void your Warranty

-how to remove color control from system. I get a popup now to instal net framework from it, I have installed, same problem. I cant find the file anywhere. I have removed it from startup, its not in the installed programs. It causes my mouse to blink busy non stop. This thing is acting like a virus i cant get rid of.- EDIT, Thanks for the tip.

Just press alt+shift+scape and remove it from startup apps. Then delete the folder where it's located if you want

@@cars4color Because the TV is not pairing with the PC for some reason. Make sure you have a PC and TV connected to the same network and both to wifi or both through Ethernet cable. Also make sure you download the latest version of ColorControl app because I didn't the first time and couldn't pair them
