Hej Damian, thanks for the tips! Maybe a bit offtopic question: I wanted to render in a 32 bit EXR and process in Photoshop. However I cant have the look of for example AgX Punchy in color management, because EXR does not save this info. Do you have any workaround for this? Or is this overkill and better save in PNG or TIFF? Thanks in advance for your asnwer.

EXR is the best. But yes, you lose the color, I’m not sure how to get it back to AgX. Keep in mind real photography has like 12bit, so a 16bit png or tiff compared to photography isn’t too bad actually. But 32bit is OP for post.

@@DamianMathew So 32 bit is used for the best accuracy in post? Because when the result goes to web in ends up in 8bit anyways?
@DamianMathew5 ай бұрын
@@fiszu12 yes it ends in 8bit usually. Benefit of 32 bit is, highs and lows don’t burn out. you got an enormous range of color and brightness/exposure. But generally a 32 and 8 bit image will look the same. But the 8 but is kind of burned in, can’t edit it well.

You like Cycles better than Octane now?
@DamianMathew7 ай бұрын
Efficiencywise Cycles is unbeatable. Still Cycles is kind of shit compared to Octane. I really hat to trick around to get this white right. In Octane it would look good just by default. But actually a good idea, i should try one if these renders in Octane and compare.

Why a PNG and not EXR? I don’t want to see you suffer like this. Love, grandma
