One tactic within this strategy I havent yet seen him do is the hedging of the hard rolls when possible with that little side board. When you consider them in that sense rather than just betting them for the pure odds, their gain is in that they are removing an entire combination from wrecking your DC.
@toddtaylor61923 жыл бұрын
Hedging helps take away 1 combination to give you an edge but you pay for it, only reason I'm doing so is because my lay is too big and playing scared. What puts me on full tilt is when I hedge a big lay with a hardway and an inexperienced shooter still makes the point and their roll doesn't come hard. The house wins in craps by not paying true odds over time.

What I like to do, especially when I’m up a little with this strategy, is when the point is hit, lay odds on the big DC if it’s a 5/9. 6/8 I will do sometimes but often too scary lol, 4/10 sometimes but payout to me isn’t worth the risk of losing both the DC and odds. I usually just do 90 to win 60, but if I’m up to double or more of initial buy in I don’t mind doing 150 to win 100. It’s a great way to make the grind of this strategy really pay off, or if it loses your still above your buy in and back to the grind. And you’re still going with the rest of table since it’s the come out roll, which is nice too.

What's your opinion on this scenario: Roll #1 on the Pass and a point is established. Roll #2 you have $75 on DC and you roll a 3, winning $75. Do you just take your $75 winnings and play out the Pass bet? Leave the table up $85 or $65 (depending what happens with the Pass bet)?

I'm new to craps. After the first roll, he says he wants $10 on 4, 6, 8, and 10... Why was the $10 wagered inside 4 and 10, but placed on 6 and 8 ??
@williamshrader28283 жыл бұрын
When the dealer places a wager inside of the number it is to refer to the bet as a "Buy" bet. Usually there is a button that says "buy" placed on top. What this does it it allows your bet to win true odds at the cost of a 5% commission, which is known as the vig. Depending on where you're at, some houses charge the vig upfront and some charge it after it hits. So in this case a place bet on 10 would pay 9 to 5 ($9 won for every $5 bet), but since it's a buy, he is getting the true odd which is 2 to 1 ($10 won for every $5 bet) then minus the commission.

What do you call a table were you cam only do even odds
@russellgrimes8113 жыл бұрын
I think the problem with many craps players is they always need to have action. If people want to make money they need to bet smart, conservatively, and adjust their play to the conditions - individual table and the abilities and proclivities of other players. One of the best talents a craps player can develop is rolling a 7 consistently. Betting the Do Not Come, establishing a point, and rolling a 7 is easier than establishing a point and attempting to roll the number again. There is that old adage about too many hands in the pot. Keeping things simple by playing the pass/ do not pass and maybe buying some numbers is the best way to play. I also think playing odds is a bad idea, even though it is supposedly the best bet in the house. I see people playing odds losing all their money all the time.

Yeah. It never works for me either. You really have to hope the the DC stays alive while you’re trying to make money with the place bets. Unfortunately if the table is hot, the DC could die quickly with repeat rolls. If the table is cold, you could see a 7 rolled while the $75 is in the DC at the start.
@Baseballlover983 жыл бұрын
I have a question/video suggestion. There is an online casino that has live craps and its run by Revolution. The dice is thrown by a machine and bets are placed virtually. The bad thing is with this table is that you cannot take down any of your bets nor can you turn off any bets. So if the point hits all your place bets stay up and there is nothing you can do about it. If a 7 is rolled on the come out then you are screwed, if it hits a number you have money on it still gets paid. I've been trying to apply your videos and different strategies to this table and I have not had much luck with finding something that works because this is not a typical table. Also your pass/don't pass odds can only be as high as your original bet, you can't double or triple them. The minimum for the table is 50 cents. I have only been doing 50 cents - $1 bets with a small bankroll of about $20-40 because of how odd this table is. I'm curious what the best strategy would be. I have tried both pass and don't pass strategies. The best strategy I have found so far is a don't pass iron cross but since you cannot do anything about your placed bets you often lose them on the come out roll. Thanks Jeremy!

Best bet is to wait until somebody rolls a 10 and then start laying bets on the ten until there is a 7 out. 10 is hard to roll for most people. Start with a $30 lay. If it hits move it to 80. If it hits the third time - an unlikely occurrence - lay $250. Will the 10 hit four times before a 7 out? Possible but highly improbable.

If you don’t want your DC on a 6/8 just tell dealer “No action” and they will leave your original bet on the DC for the next roll. Although it is technically a “contract bet” like the pass line or the come bet, because you have the house advantage (even against a 6/8) the casino will allow you to not take bet or “pull down” the bet. Same is true for a “don’t pass”bet.

If no 6 or 8s come out. It gets very expensive. Very quick.

$20 odds on the 6 doesn’t play $30 anywhere I’ve ever heard of. Wouldn’t $20 pay $24 in odds. You over paid him so many times.

@@ColorUplet me tell you what was my strategy. 1- bet $75 on don’t, and might go with any 7 and Yo. The set the dice on 3-4-3-4 and try to keep them on axis. 2- if the point established, I’ll bet $15 across and set the dice according to the point. For 4 or 10 => 1-6-1-6 + bet on hard 4 or 10. For 5 or 9 => 3-4-3-4 + bet on C&E and for 6 or 8 => 2-5-2-5 + bet on hard 6 or 8. I think I could not control my emotion/bank roll and went aggressive to cover my losses. I hit the C&E multiple times. After I lost all my $500 the pit boss followed me and asked for my ID, I said for what? He told me there face recognition system recognized me and want to make sure I’m not on self exclusion. After that he gave me my ID then I left. Till now I have no idea why they asked for my ID and it dose not make any sense to check if I am on self exclusion after I lost!!

Point=5 DC=9 For those who don't know. The Do Not Pass Line(DNPL) can be pulled down any time. Only if you are the shooter must you then have to place a Pass Line(PL) bet. (Any amount table min.) Mario could have... $75 DNPL (aim-1,2,4,10,) result pt.5 Pull down DNPL & place $10 PL & $75 DC (aim-1,2,4,5,10,) Result 9 so point=5 DC=9 Why aim for 1,2,4,5,10? #1 or 2 =DC 75$ win, pt. still 5, 75$DC still up or (5&9= same odds) #5=point 10$win, DC=#5, puck off, $10 pass line bet, =now rolling for the 7 &/or point with #5 being "dark" instead of #9. A Don't Come bet Pays even money on 4,5,6,8,9, or 10. it is the odds behind the DC that Pay the (4&10), (5&9), and (6&8) lay odds respectively. Better to DC ON to 4 or 10 as they have less single number Expected Probability(3of36) than the other numbers 5,9, & 6,8.

No "strategy" gets around the basic fact that, inevitably, you will lose money playing craps in the long run. Period. Your strategy makes no difference whatsoever other than to accelerate or decelerate the losing - but no strategy on earth can avoid the inevitable mathematics.

Bro when you play the dark side make a small bet on the dont come and LAY max odds once a number has been established. A 75$ bet on the dont come gets wiped out by a seven. And it will happen often if you play lots of craps, it is better to make the smallest bet on the dont come and LAY max odds once your on a number, because when seven rolls then you are on a number and will win. Why risk 75 on the dont come. If you are gong to play 75 on the dont come dont LAY 30 $ that is just stupid. IMO

I get tired of seeing this $75 D/C strategy as the "best" strategy. No one wants to talk about that you still incur the risk of 7/11 on the 'come out roll' then it really gets interesting if you knock down a D/C or two. You knock down two D/C's and then a quick 7 out on everything else you have on the table you are walking away. Color up even branded it a "low risk" strategy which just isn't true.
@ColorUp3 жыл бұрын
Low risk is subjective, depends on type of player you are and your bankroll. I think I explained the pitfalls of this strategy though.

I will likely reply again after I watch the video, but just based on the title, it is a very silly bet from a probability stand point. out of 36 possible combinations 8 of those combination make you lose you $75 bet on the next roll. That is more than a 22% chance to lose that bet immediately. More than once in every 5 times you make that bet you will lose immediately.
