That area was not secure so either she or someone high up in the Secret service did not sufficiently plan and secure the area properly. Every building in the vicinity of a rally or speech is supposed to be clear and off limits with security making sure they stay secure.

This isn't some new phenomenon. They've always been this bad. We just haven't had an assassination attempt in 40 years, so people forget about it. It's not just a few things either. It's nonstop incompetence. Shit just going back to the Obama era I can think of a half dozen off the top of my head. The random couple that got into his state of the union without being screened, agents passing out drunk on duty and getting prostitutes in Colombia. A random armed man ending up on an elevator with the president. A man with a knife jumping the white house fence and getting inside before finally getting tackled by an off duty agent. It's insane. The secret service have failed over and over and over again at an alarming rate.

There is such a thing as predatory questions. Members of Congress love using those. They ask a question and demand a yes or no answer despite knowing that the person being interviewed will set up a narrative that will overpower the real explanation. Just an example of a predatory question is: "Hey, do you still beat your wife? Yes or no?" Well for starters, you never did beat your wife. But saying no is admitting that you USED to beat your wife. Saying yes is admitting that you still beat your wife despite never having done so. But in this one instance, I think the amount of predatory questions was at a record low, because the director was actually trying to misdirect and be dishonest.
