Colossians Series 11: Christiconic Living

Christiconic Living, based on Colossians 3:12-17, is the call to embody the character and virtues of Christ in every aspect of our lives. As believers, we are reminded that we are chosen, holy, and dearly loved by God, which compels us to clothe ourselves with the attributes of Christ: compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. These virtues reflect the very nature of Christ and should define how we treat others, especially within the body of believers. A key aspect of this is forgiveness-just as Christ has forgiven us, we are called to extend that same grace to others. Above all, love must be at the core, binding all these virtues together in perfect unity.
In Christiconic Living, the peace of Christ should rule our hearts, creating harmony and unity among us. The word of Christ must dwell richly within, shaping our thoughts, words, and actions. This leads to a life filled with worship, wisdom, and gratitude, as we teach and encourage one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Ultimately, every word and action is to be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, offering thanks to God. To live Christiconic is to allow Christ’s peace, word, and love to saturate every part of our lives, making Him the source and standard for all that we do.
