Lucy your picture is so beautifully colored. Nobody would ever know that you colored that picture with a $12 budget set of pencils. The colors look really pigmented and vibrant. The prices in the UK are a lot better than here in the U.S., although they are not expensive by any means. 24 are $6.94, 48 are $21.99 and 72 are $27.99. I just placed an order for the 24 piece set to use as a quick toss in to a bag and go, for quick sketches. Thank you for sharing your experience with these pencils and your gorgeous picture. 🥰

Hi Lucy, Your Dahle 133 probably isnn't broken and the mechanism just needs to be cleaned out. Remove the handle/mechanisim and clean it out...sometimes there is a tiny tip caught inside the mechanism that you can't see. I've even had to slightly bang the mechanision to clean it out. Also, mine stops working if the shavings drawer is too full. go figure! Beautiful coloring!
