It's not just the patches, it's the musical ideas you use to demonstrate them that makes these some of the best demos out here.

The Hydrasynth is the best value for money synth by far nowadays. All your sounds are excellent as well as your keyboardist skills (KZbin is full of repetitive and noisy useless demonstrations). Congratulations.
@synthuniverse Жыл бұрын
Many thanks for your feedback I'm pleased you like them! I always have in mind that these machines are musical instruments, so I try to make musical demos to reflect that. I agree the Hydra is great value for the depth and quality

Hi, probably the most craziest idea in my life, I bought your Hydrasynth Deluxe bundle pack before I get the hardware itself... You are a genious... My keyboard will be delivered tomorrow, can't wait to test your patches
@synthuniverse Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback and for purchasing my sounds! I hope they inspire you. If you're new to Hydrasynth, then do read the synth manual and the instructions that came with my sounds to ensure they are properly installed, using Hydrasynth Manager. Also to note they are Single layer patches, so you can layer two at once in your Deluxe if you want...

Absolutely excellent demonstration! I’ve been watching a ton of demos trying to decide on iridium keyboard or hydra delux. This demo latched me into the hydra. I owned an iridium module and Loved it. I just sold it to buy the keyboard version and now I’m not so sure I want to spend that money when the hydra sounds so damn good
@synthuniverse Жыл бұрын
Many thanks for your feedback! Yes the Iridium is very powerful and the inclusion of sample playback would give it the edge for some people. I don't know it well enough to know its characteristic sound (if there is one). But there's something about the sound of the Hydra that is distinctive and it responds very musically. It has real personality which I love, but it's a subjective thing of course. Good luck with your decision! (you might want to watch my latest Deluxe dual layer video if you haven't already)

Those strings and chords reminded me of 'Blackstar' by David Bowie. That beautiful bit in the song where he breaks in the middle and it is so melancholic as he realises he is fading. It sounds like a Solina on the album......anyway this keyboard is something else. I am mesmerized by the sounds of it. I keep watching videos on it! Well done!
@synthuniverse2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback and for sharing - yes I agree a 'goosebumps' moment in Blackstar that the strings add to. Another Hydra video to come soon...

Just gonna toss in here that a lot of sound banks and presets seem to excel in the original hydra, 49 keys. It's a pleasure to see patches across the deluxe keybed/octave range.

Amazing 😀😀 you talk about releasing some patches and you also link to some other commercial ones and some that come with the synth in this wonderful video you certainly played some beautiful voices in there as an aside. 2 patches stand out to me String Section and Warm Keys. Are these 2 your own or off either the commercial pack listed or already in the hydra? If I can buy them from you it's definitely a sale but if it's in the hydra already or in the other link you put down below can you let us know which ones please. Im about to buy a unit and these 2 sounds sold me especially warm keys. I know you where talking about releasing a pack is that still going to happen? If so I will buy them . Thank you for your time and keep up the wonderful playing and sound design you have a gift in both areas 😀
@synthuniverse Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback and questions! String section is a great sound I agree and it's included with the Hydrasynth Deluxe as an internal preset. I'm not sure if it's available to download from ASM site onto other Hydrasynths - worth a check. Warm keys is my sound and will be included in one of my forthcoming patch banks. Not available yet but if you subscribe and select to be notified then you'll know as soon as the patch banks are released!

LoL, to think how thrilled I was when I got ahold of a Casio ToneBank SA-38 . Wound up giving it to one of my Friend's Kids . Cool little rig but almost toy like compared to even mid- quality synths . Wouldn't mind getting ahold of a Hydrosynth at all -although perhaps my roommates would be somewhat less enthusiastic about it .

Great sounds, nice playing. I have the desktop version and find myself wishing I bought the keyboard, but space was a consideration. Is the advantage of the two synth engines in the Deluxe mainly for doing splits?
@synthuniverse2 жыл бұрын
Many thanks for the feedback! Yes I have the desktop version too - it's great to have the raw power of the engine in a small box you can take anywhere, but it lacks the ribbon of course. I mainly use the Deluxe for layering in Multi mode rather than splits, and I'm still exploring the possibilities of composing sounds with 6 oscillators rather than 3 (will be a future video). And having the extra keys is very helpful. Hope that helps - cheers
@antonyfaulkner8649 Жыл бұрын
That's definitely the advantage... 2 independent, different sounding Hydrasynths layered or Keyboard Split. Multi-Timbralality. And of course it can be just a Single Hydrasynth, but with 16 Voice polyphony, instead of 8. There are so many more possibilities with the Deluxe configuration.

This is part of what the Deluxe can do.... in Single Mode. 16 Voice polyphony means you can throw in some Step LFO sounds, to pad out the background while you play with both hands over the top.... without note stealing or drops.
