your recent tint, tone, shade demos, while review for me, have so caught my eye!! lovely, useful nourishment for me little artist's brain!! and i was so impressed with your "think outside the flower" move!! snipping off the stems and then using them to print the stems! the "what if" side of your creative brain has turned you into a walking encyclopedia of technique over time!! you are so awake and alive!! : D

Another great vlog Gaynor, thanks. I don't pay enough attention to tones, tints etc. so will do some experimenting. I seem to be doing more prepping of paper, canvasses and sketchbooks lately than actual painting, think I'm at procrastination station! Give Rocket a hug 🐶

Your perseverance with the gel prints of the cosmos flowers paid off! For a variation on a theme you could try printing on coloured card stock - say an orange or a bright yellow. I love your concertina sketchbook enthusiasm when you were able to make an extra pocket!😂 Have a great week ahead Gaynor. 😊

Thank you for providing a weekly dose of intense sunshine Gaynor! Loved this episode and delighted you were able to progress so nicely on your gelli printing - totally fabulous. I also enjoyed your exploration of the colour wheel. I find I become way too dependent on my typical palette which while dependable can become boring. The porridge drawing was lovely and such an inspirational discipline. Be well! ♥

Absolutely adore your new paintings! And the Sunflower drawings have inspired me. I love watching you do Sunflowers, Sword plant and Monstera (I bought one finally). Your Gel plate printing is looking really great! Wow. To get off paint in areas surrounding the leaves or flowers, I love to use thin packing paper, or newsprint, and then do another press with thin tissue paper, then if any remaining I use a slightly damp piece of kitchen roll. I also love pulling the final print with Carnival wet-strength tissue paper (made in the UK) which is not cheap, but is wonderful to use as collage in my paintings. Cheers, and great works!! Oh, and P.S. folding the concertina was so helpful, I could never figure it out, but your instx are wonderful!!

What can I say that hasn’t been said already in the comment? We all love your enthusiasm for experimenting. This was a great video demonstrating the color wheel exercises, definitely helpful to those of us stuck in our usual palettes, to think outside that box. The gelli prints were amazingly and a great choice with the cosmos, as their outlines are so recognizable and a good jumping off point to abstract a little with the print to make an interesting painting or card! Love your style❤

I absolutely LOVE your cosmos print! You could probably have made copies of those and turned them into different and unique prints, cards, etc. I don't know why you didn't think your original way of pronouncing "analogous" was correct, but it certainly was correct ! Ah-NAL-oh-gus IS the right way to pronounce it. Very interesting colour wheel trials. I just got Betty Edwards' book "Color" from the library and am reading up on the colour wheel, so this was timely. And thanks for the concertina demo! You are wealth of info and inspo!

I’m new to your UTube site and am finding your energy and enthusiasm a lot of fun and inspiration. Trouble is I sit and watch too much! Just wondering where you got your colour wheel from as it is a big improvement on the one I have . Fascinating to see your sunflowers today . I came across a piece of card I’d inked up some circle stencils for printmaking and they reminded me of sunflowers so loving your drawings to inspire me . Thanks for the fun and good advice Carys
