I would have loved to see this place during its hey day! Ive seen castles in Ireland from some being in ruins, some still lived in and others made into either hotels or museums. All beautiful!

AWESOME!!! So glad that you made it to that beautiful castle!!! It looks so much more destroyed than when we were there but it is still beautiful! That back building was cool too! We were kinda surprised that there was not a pool somewhere on that property. We DID however find a fountain in the woods walking up the road to the house. Great Explore Marlo!!! Stay safe out there!! 🤗👻🌲

To be honest I was heartbroken when I came up that hill. To see the blatant destruction of this amazing structure kinda got me. Went on to film but inside it pissed me off and saddened me. The beauty still came through but wtf. Thank you so much for checking it out. I so need to catch up on everyone’s explores. Stay safe & have an awesome weekend ☺️🍁🍂

Hi Kay. It was kind of heartbreaking to see this amazing, historic castle so trashed. There’s no sense in it except to destroy. I loved seeing this home and of course, the stonework 😍 always appreciated, thank you and have an awesome week.

Not sure if they were there when you went but there are alarms now that say the police are coming. Not sure if there just deterrent alarms or if they actually work. I didn’t want to stay to long and risk the cops coming. I may go back if I know those alarms and cameras are bs. I live about 10 minutes from the mansion and never even knew it was there. I love the history of it

This was a year ago. I tried to seek permission before exploring but found no one to ask. There were deterrents in place, but found no active surveillance. This place is absolutely amazing to see. The history of it is also incredible.

What a fine place it was. I wonder when the last the last person paid to live there. The books were modern paperbacks. There were 3 inch floppy disks in there from at least 25 or 30 years ago. The old hanging light fixture was real brass with a great patina probably from original construction. Now days construction is not done with such old American pride and workmanship. Those two ingredients mixed with sturdy quality materials are why the old place still stands. That beautiful rock painting you left propped against an old speaker. 😁👍

I love how much you appreciate the bones of the architecture and beauty of the fine details like the wood and tiles. Those are always things that I love to find. They don't make anything the way they used to.
